Royal fans beg Meghan Markle NOT to do $1.2M tell-all interview as it could break Harry, William bond forever

'If her objective is to earn money, it could work. But if she's trying to win back the public, it's extremely risky'

Royal fans have begged Meghan Markle to not talk about her reasons for stepping down from the royal family following reports that she was offered a considerable sum of money for the same.

MEA WorldWide (MEAWW) had previously reported that Meghan had been offered £1 million ($1,244,700) for a tell-all interview to a US TV network about quitting the royal family, with good friend Oprah Winfrey believed to be the front-runner.

The consensus was that it would not only be one of the biggest interviews of the decade, but also "the most anticipated global TV interview event since Diana’s famous tell-all chat with Martin Bashir."

Diana had spoken to Bashir in 1995 about her marriage with Prince Charles after their divorce, with Meghan expected to spill the beans on the inner workings of the royal family in hers.

Her intention is to "win back the public" following Megxit, and Harry is said to be giving "serious consideration" to the proposal.

Royal fans, however, have expressed their displeasure at the idea and begged her not to go ahead with the interview.

"Not a good idea. It's backfired on so many Royals when they tried to 'tell their side' (most recently Andrew of course but Charles & Diana also)," one wrote on Twitter. "If her objective is to earn money, it could work. But if she's trying to win back the public, it's extremely risky."

"Not like Diana's sit down. More like Andy's car crash interview with BBC. It backfired. Finished him. It will finish Meghan too," a second shared.

Meghan is reportedly in favor of allowing cameras to film their home and family life, something that some latched onto to argue that the interview was just a ploy to make money and generate publicity.

"If she does the tell-all it really doesn’t set the best example. Everyone will believe she really did marry Harry for money and publicity," one user posted.

"Yes please! So even the sugars will be forced to admit that the 'we left for privacy' thing was just a lame cover-up for their desire to be celebrities!" another wrote.

Others theorized such a move could be fracture Harry and William's relationship beyond repair — the pair has been icy with one another ever since Harry started dating Meghan a little over two years ago.

"Whilst obviously taken with a pinch of salt, if Harry agrees to this, it's the end of the road for him and William. The biggest betrayal is colluding with media for money and profit off their lives. The reason they kicked off about Thomas was for pap shots," a third tweeted.

But Meghan reportedly sees the move as a necessary one to win back the public's favor.

"When she was part of the Royal Family it would have been unthinkable for her to do a solo interview with anyone about her life and how being a princess has changed her world," a source said. "But now she’s very much her own boss and it has put her under pressure feeling that the public have lost their ‘love’ for her and Harry after they took the big step of going on their own."
