Great White draw flak for concert without masks, social distancing, Internet labels them 'worst band ever'

This is not the first time the band has been in the news for flouting rules endangering public safety. In 2003, several fans died after the band's tour manager set off pyrotechnics in a small club

Rock band Great White held a concert in Dickinson, North Dakota on July 9 with no restrictions in place to honor social distancing rules. The concert was a part of the 'First n First: Dickinson Summer Nights' and had people in close proximity with one another and not a mask in sight. With the world still battling the pandemic that has claimed a sizeable number of lives, Great White members as well as the people who went to the concert, are being slammed by Twitterati, for being part of a public concert without any rules in place.

"Let's face it... if you would willingly go to a Great White concert, you kinda deserve to get Covid-19. Buh bye" wrote a user. Another shared, "What a bunch of idiots... burning all Great White albums." An irate user wrote, "Well that settles it, Great White is the worst band ever now." This is not the first time that Great White has been in the news for hampering the safety of people at their concert.

Several people were killed in 2003 after the band's tour manager lit pyrotechnics inside a club in Rhode Island. "17 years ago, 100 people died in the Station Nightclub fire after Great White's tour manager lit pyrotechnics inside the small club during a show. One of the band’s biggest hits is called 'Once Bitten, Twice Shy'," wrote a user. Another wrote, "So is Great White going for some kind of Most Deaths Per Performance plaque or something? Band Most Likely To Not Care About Fan Safety? Are these records that are available?"

According to Blabbermouth, Great White singer Jack Russell had earlier blasted people who refuse to wear a mask in public spaces to protect others from possible infection. Russell addressed the issue while lawmakers were stressing on the importance of wearing face masks to contain the spread of coronavirus.

In an interview with Austria's Mulatschag TV, he said, "It's, like, if you don't wanna help yourself, help everybody else. 'Well, it's my right. It's my human right.' Well, look, dude, you've gotta pay for your car to get smogged, you've gotta have a seat belt, you have a driver's license, you have to have a license to be born, you have to have a marriage license. I mean, so you have to wear a mask for a while so you don't die. What's the problem?"
