'Bald Robert Downey jr look so goofy': Fans 'flabbergasted' as actor reveals drastic new look at award show

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Robert Downey Jr, who is best known for his short, spiky hair, now looks completely different. In the Marvel Universe, his incredibly awesome and dope beard and hairstyles as Iron Man are well-known to be loved. Unfortunately for fans, though, Robert recently went bald and revealed his new appearance on Saturday, November 19, alongside his wife Susan, 45, at an A-list awards presentation.

Robert sports a completely shaved head in the photo snapped on the red carpet at the 13th Governors Awards in Los Angeles, California. Robert gave the photographers a knowing glance while wearing a black dinner jacket, a white shirt, and a black tie. Susan, his wife, who was also in the photo, was dressed in a black maxi dress. Fans were taken aback by Robert's new and unexpected appearance.

In preparation for a new part in HBO's 'The Sympathizer', Robert has shaved his head. Just before Halloween, he uploaded a video to Instagram showing him getting a fresh haircut at home with the help of his children. 'The Avengers' star explained to Exton, 10, and Avri, 8, “I don’t want to have to wear a bald cap, so will you guys shave my head?”

Fans were stunned by Robert's new appearance as soon as  from the event surfaced. One user tweeted, "Robert downey jr is bald now he must be out his mind omg." Another wrote, "I was so focused on austin that i didn’t even realize the bald dude next to him is robert downey jr &€#€#^." A third commented, "I'm game to defend Robert Downey jr's bald head anyday." A fourth asked, "Wait… when did Robert Downey Jr. go bald?" Another tweeted, "Opening this app & seeing Robert Downey Jr bald has shocked me." Earlier this month, at a special screening of 'Sr', a Netflix documentary about his late father, he debuted his new appearance for the first time. Robert Downey Sr. died on July 7, 2021, after a protracted Parkinson's fight. The 85-year-old New Yorker was a well-known actor, writer, director, and cinematographer.
