Who is Ronald Carlson? Selma Blair claims ex-BF strangled her, called her 'f**king cripple'
Actress Selma Blair has been granted a restraining order against her ex-partner Ronald Carlson, who reportedly strangled her last month in a shocking incident of domestic abuse. Blair claims that her former boyfriend Ronald Carlson physically attacked her on February 22, 2022, following an argument, and even went to the extent of calling her "f**king useless cripple".
The 'Legally Blonde' actress is battling multiple sclerosis which has left affected her mobility. In the court documents, Blair noted that Carlson screamed at her violently, telling her, "You f**ked up, you can't do anything, you can't love anybody, you're f**king useless, you cripple." He further added, "I don't f**king deserve this, I can do so much better than you." Blair also mentioned that at one point during the attack, she stuck her fingers into his eyes and mouth in self-defense, but Carlson overpowered her. He covered her face and mouth until she was unable to breathe and lost consciousness.

According to court records obtained by TMZ, the incident took place a few weeks back when Carlson had visited Blair's home to return a television set. At that time, Blair was under medication due to her condition, and she was reportedly feeling unwell. An argument ensued between the couple when Carlson allegedly turned violent. He went on to strangle and throttle her, and shook her head and shoulders aggressively while she was lying on her sofa.
Police were later called to the scene and found Blair in an unwell state. She claims that her nose was bleeding heavily and she fainted again while talking to the police. She was transferred to a hospital by paramedics immediately.
Meanwhile, police arrested Ronald Carlson on domestic violence charges with corporal injuries. They obtained a five-day restraining order initially against Carlson, but Blair later filed for a temporary restraining order via her attorney which was granted this week.
On the other hand, Carlson had also filed a petition for a restraining order against Blair around two weeks after the incident. He claimed that Blair became "angry and antagonistic" when he declined to sit with her, as she had asked. He added that Blair called his 12-year-old daughter a "f***ing loser" during the argument. Blair herself shares 10-year-old son Arthur with her ex Jason Bleick.
In his defense, Carlson alleges that Blair scratched him on the face, eyes, and nose, while he only acted in self-defense. He claims that her nose bleeding is a long-term medical issue and not a sign of domestic violence.
