Rihanna to perform at Super Bowl Halftime Show for just 13 minutes, fans ask 'why not for 3 days?'
GLENDALE, ARIZONA: Rihanna will make her long-awaited comeback to the stage. The 34-year-old singer is preparing for her return in the halftime show of Super Bowl LVII on Sunday, February 12. During a press conference for Super Bowl 2023 in Phoenix, the star said, "We've been working on it for a while, and every day it just gets closer and closer to the finished product. Today's a really big rehearsal, a really important one, that's going to be crucial for Sunday."
“It’s a lot of preparation. This is the week that – it really is [about] being tested. Everyone, we’re just tightening up everything, everybody’s dialing in, everybody’s tuning up and [it’s] a lot of moving parts," she said about the halftime show and added, "I mean, It’s literally, like, 300 to 400 people breaking the stage down and building it back up and getting it out in eight minutes. It’s incredible. It’s almost impossible," reports Page Six.

What to expect from Rihanna’s show?
The pop star, who hasn't toured or released an album since 2016's 'Anti,' confirmed that the show will be 13 minutes long. She said, as quoted by Billboard, "You're just running around for 13 minutes trying to put like a two-hour set for 13 minutes. And you're gonna see on Sunday [February 12] from the time it starts, it just never ends until the very last second. I know I'm saying too much, but it's a jam-packed show." She said she put together 39 versions of the setlist, calling it the "biggest challenge" of all. "That was the hardest, hardest part - deciding how to maximize 13 minutes but also celebrate. That's what this show's gonna be. It's gonna be a celebration of my catalog in the best way that we could have put it together. You're trying to cram 17 years of work into 13 minutes ... but I think we did a pretty good job of narrowing it down. There were probably about 39 version of the setlist right now. We're on our 39th. Every little change counts, whether I want a guitar, cut out, something muted, something added or just put in a whole new song or take out a whole song."
Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, she said, "The Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world, it's an entertainer's dream to be on a stage like that," she added. "But it's nerve-racking. You want to get it right. You know, everybody's watching. And they're rooting for you. And I want to get it right." She explained that this felt like a "now or never" opportunity, after she welcomed a baby boy with rapper A$AP Rocky in May 2022. "You could get real comfortable being at home as a mom, [so this is] challenging myself to do something that I've never done before in my career," she shared and added, "I have to live up to that challenge." While the setlist for the show is unknown, Rihanna is expected to play some of her biggest hits through the years, like 'Umbrella,' 'We Found Love' and 'Diamonds.' The Super Bowl and Rihanna's halftime show can be watched on Fox, states AZCentral.
