But what grabbed the attention was the structured ivory top covered in rosettes.

Arriving last on the red carpet, alongside her beau A$AP Rocky, Rihanna showed off her monochromatic look with fingerless-gloved hands and then removed her rosette-covered top, revealing a slip gown that featured spaghetti straps and a daring plunging neckline and showcased her baby bump. However, many were quick to troll with one writing, “Rihanna really made us wait all this time just for her to look like fancy whipped cream." Another said, "She looks like some buttercream icing." However, the trolling continued with people sharing their views. An individual wrote, "Tonight, A$AP Rocky took what it appeared to be a giant wedding cake to the Met Gala…. It was later discovered it was Rihanna inside it." Another commented by saying, "Rihanna, doing her best impression of a wedding cake."

Many also posted pictures of the comparison. One of them shared by writing, "Rihanna's outfit reminds me of a cake frosting."
