GLENDALE, ARIZONA: A pregnant Rihanna took a chance and promoted her Fenty Beauty products during her Super Bowl LVII performance in State Farm Stadium, Arizona on Sunday, February 12. Despite the Super Bowl's reputation for not paying artists for their performances, but providing massive exposure, Rihanna still found a way to profit from her performance by overtly promoting the products from her own cosmetics line, Fenty Beauty, while she was on stage.

The 34-year-old 'Umbrella' singer was spotted softly touching up her appearance in the middle of her 13-minute performance by pulling out her Fenty Beauty By Rihanna Invisimatte Blotting Powder compact. The item's suggested retail price is $34. Rihanna has recently amassed a billion-dollar beauty and fashion empire in addition to her wildly successful music career, and she obviously couldn't pass up the chance for product placement, according to People.

Rihanna's look for the big event

Priscilla Ono, the global makeup artist for Fenty Beauty, provided an overview of Rihanna's look for the big event. "That red stage called for the ultimate Rihanna red lip," Ono said in a press release. "We wanted her beauty look to celebrate this moment and be a true reflection of her timeless beauty. And to me, there's nothing more iconic to Rihanna than her soft matte skin and a bold red lip."

Rihanna wore the brand-new Fenty Icon Velvet Liquid Lipstick of $28 in 'MVP,' which had its online premiere at halftime while donning an all-red Alaia and Loewe ensemble. Since the Icon Velvet Lipstick's lightweight consistency doesn't dry out the lips and provides a creamy, whipped feel despite its sharp matte finish, it was the ideal product for the situation. The traditional blue-toned red known as "MVP" was on display on Rihanna.

The Fenty Beauty Invisimatte Instant Setting and Blotting Powder, which Rihanna used mid-show for a fast touch-up, is one of Rihanna's go-to cosmetics for her complexion. The Invisimatte is a finishing powder that is created with easy refillable container and is intended to look attractive on all skin tones while extending the wear of your makeup.

Ono focused on nourishing and exfoliating Rihanna's lips in the weeks before the Super Bowl, utilizing the Fenty Beauty Pro Kiss'r Lip Loving Scrubstick in particular. The apricot seeds in this handy stick scrub perform their magic by gently exfoliating the lips, creating the ideal base for applying, for instance, a red matte lipstick.

'A boss move'

Many fans took to social media and tweeted on Rihanna plugging in her Fenty Beauty line during her epic Superbowl performance. "@rihanna said she don’t CARE what y’all want. She’s continuing to build her family, and shamelessly plugging Fenty Beauty in the middle of her half time performance. And I love that for her," one fan tweeted. "Rihanna plugging Fenty in the halftime show was a boss move," one tweet read. "RIHANNA PLUGGING FENTY IN THE MIDDLE OF HER PERFORMANCE MARKETING QUEEN," another chimed in. "Rihanna don’t care about no damn tour or album she just wanted a fenty beauty ad," someone tweeted.
