‘Real Housewives of Orange County’: Fans appalled as Vicki Gunvalson googles who Ernest Hemingway is and if he is alive
In between their pub-hopping and relaxing in the resort, the housewives of Orange County decided to visit Hemingway House to squeeze in some education too. New housewife Braunwyn Windham-Burke, who is hosting the housewives on a trip to Key West, Florida, added the trip to renowned author Ernest Hemingway’s house to their itinerary. While Kelly Dodd, Emily Simpson and Braunwyn were eager to visit the ‘Old Man and the Sea’ author’s residence, the Tres Amigas (Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador) were not so keen about it.
The trio begins wondering who Hemingway is, and why they are being asked to visit his house. Tamra manages to have her blonde moment, when she wonders if Hemingway is having a dinner party for them, Vicki joins in the ignorant party and hopes that they are served a good coffee. Later, we see Vicki googling who Hemingway is and if he is alive. When she realizes that he’s a famous author and already died in 1961, she defends her ignorance by saying he died way before she was born so she didn’t know him!
Fans were surprised that the housewives had no knowledge of who Hemingway was, and took to their social media to express the same. A fan tweeted, “Are Vicki, Tamra and Shannon really so uneducated that they don’t know who Ernest Hemingway was? #RHOC”.
Another fan wrote, “They don’t know who Ernest Hemingway is?! I mean...I just can’t. I really just...cannot. #RHOC”.
One fan wrote to Vicki saying, “I was born in 1982 and I know who Hemingway is Vicki #rhoc”.
“They don't know who hemingway is? housewives continue to be an embarrassment to our society #rhoc”, observed a fan.
Another tweeted, “#RHOC Vicki not knowing who Ernest Hemingway was is as shocking to me as when I found out water was wet.”
“Do the three ameobas really not know who Hemingway was? Morons! #RHOC,” expressed a fan.
Several fans couldn’t help but wonder if the housewives actually went to high school after watching the episode. A fan tweeted, “Listening to the #RHOC google to try to figure out who Earnest Hemingway was might actually be making me dumber. Did they go to high school, even?”
Another fan echoed similar thoughts with, “These women don't know who Ernest Hemingway is ?! Did they go to Highschool ? Tres Amigos are more like Tres Stupidos 🙄 #ReadABook #RHOC”.
