'No longer the same man': Reese Witherspoon reportedly split from Jim Toth over his 'midlife crisis'
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth are divorcing after more than 12 years of marriage! After the actress announced her "difficult decision," Witherspoon's husband Jim Toth is said to have been the driving factor behind the ongoing divorce. After nearly 12 years of marriage, the 47-year-old actor, who has a 10-year-old son named Tennesse, announced the news and said it was done with "a great deal of care and consideration."
Actor and producer Toth, 52, is reportedly "no longer the same man" that Witherspoon married, according to an anonymous family acquaintance. He has started dressing "like someone half his age" and has acquired "weird jewelry and tattoos," they said. "Jim is the one who has changed massively just in the last few years," the friend told The Sun.

'Call it a midlife crisis if you want'
The divorce announcement came just two days before the couple's 12th wedding anniversary. The decision surprised no one who knows the couple, according to a friend and co-worker who has worked with them for ten years. According to the source, despite their joint commercial successes, including the sale of their production company 'Hello Sunshine' for about $1 billion in 2021, the two simply wanted different things in life.
Toth's significant career transition five years ago - when he left the agency industry despite being one of the most respected executives at Hollywood powerhouse CAA - was a major factor in the collapse of the couple's marriage. After failing with short mobile streaming platform Quibi in 2020, Toth was bitten by Silicon Valley investment bug and will most likely continue his life in that direction, the insider said.

"Jim just isn't the guy Reese married and had a son with anymore," the family insider claimed. "His personality, his attitude and his whole take on life really changed when he got out of the agency business and decided he was tired of that stuffy world and being in the service business in general," the insider added.
"Call it a midlife crisis if you want but that's when the tattoos, the chunky, weird jewelry, and dressing like somebody half his age really took hold. Jim will still be in her life. But he's taking the millions he personally made in the Hello Sunshine deal and he's striking out for greener pastures," the insider continued.
However, the insider claimed that there is no doubt Witherspoon and Toth would manage co-parenting, particularly given that she previously did so with her ex Ryan Phillippe and his children Ava, 23, and Deacon, 19, as well.
What's next for Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth?
Witherspoon, the actress from 'The Morning Show,' has supposedly developed a workaholic behavior while supporting the Hello Sunshine company. She is reportedly under contract for five years with the business, beginning in August 2021, the day it closes on the $900 million sale to Candle Media. Witherspoon has always been "Type A" when it comes to her company, book club, and acting profession, reports The Sun.
When asked about Toth's future plans, the insider stated he is anticipated to continue pursuing his Silicon Valley aspirations of becoming a tech entrepreneur far from Hollywood naysayers who earlier saw him as little more than his super-famous wife's glorified assistant. "Jim is ready to start from zero and invest in new companies, and it's hard to do that from LA," the insider added.
