Twinning! Reese Witherspoon and daughter Ava Phillippe look ready for the holidays in 'girls night out' selfie
The ‘Big Little Lies’ and ‘The Morning Show’ star and her daughter, Ava Phillippe have been painting the town ‘red’ in their latest selfie, posted on Instagram. In the photo, Witherspoon and Phillippe can be seen twinning. They both wore black dresses and cheery, red lipstick to accentuate the festive mood.
The mother-daughter make for the perfect pair, as they not only look alike but also style themselves similar occasionally, giving everyone major twinning goals. Witherspoon took the selfie with her 20-year old daughter, before a big mother-daughter night out.
“Girls night out with my favorite daughter! (ok she’s my only daughter but still) ❤️,” Witherspoon posted on her Instagram handle. The duo can be seen all smiles and in the holiday spirit in their evening attire. Their style sensibility is so similar, from clothes to makeup, hair, and even accessories, that they almost resemble each other.
But this isn’t the first time Witherspoon and Phillippe have had a twinning moment. A few weeks ago, Witherspoon was awarded the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award at The Hollywood Reporter‘s Women in Entertainment banquet. Her family, including husband Jim Toth, daughter Ava, and son Deacon, were present with her and joined in the celebration. However, her youngest son, Tennessee (with Toth) was missing from the scene.
The ladies also shared a similar mother-daughter moment earlier this year, when the actor was celebrating the premiere of the second season of ‘Big Little Lies’, the hit HBO show she co-produced and worked in, along with Nicole Kidman. But what we remembered was how Witherspoon and her daughter matched each other’s looks in loose, blonde waves and were all smiles, looking like mirror images of each other.
Witherspoon is currently producing and acting in Apple TV’s ‘The Morning Show’.
