'Record of Youth' Episode 6 ended with Hye-jun (Park Bo-gum) kissing Jeong-ah (Park So-dam), and quite passionately at that, indicating that his work life might be in trouble because of his former agent but his personal life balances out the heartbreak that Hye-jun had to experience when a role was snatched away from him. In the promo of the upcoming episode, we see Min-jae pick herself up after the last fiasco of losing a role to her nemesis, and she gets a call from a production house where they want an actor who would also be a model.

The promo video sees Hye-jun sit down for an interview with someone as he answers questions from multiple people regarding his capabilities. At this time, we also see how Hae-hyo rushes to Jeong-ah's side with excitement and tells her not to be shocked with whatever he has got to say. After we saw him choose friendship and love in the previous episode, we wonder if he regrets doing so. He might actually confess his feelings for her and tell her that she shouldn't be pressured to choose between him and Hye-jun.

Amid all of this, Jeong-ah also has her own struggles to deal with. She still has to face her senior makeup artist Jin-ju at work who continues to spread negativity in people around Jeong-ah and she also continues to speak ill of her at work to clients as well. However, in the next episode, we see Jeong-ah finally take a stand. She was promoted as the designer makeup artist in episode 6 and that means she is now on the same standing as the senior who bullied her.

So when Jin-ju attempts to discipline Jeong-ah by almost slapping her, Jeong-ah stops her and tells her that even she has a threshold which should not be crossed. Jeong-ah has been struggling to deal with the kind of toxic work culture that Jin-ju had been perpetrating from the first day. To fight against this senior artist is not something that Jeong-ah had planned to do, but she ends up doing it anyway.

Then there is the fact that Hye-jun's grandfather might also become a senior model if treated right and supported well. There is also the fact that Hye-jun's father slapped him for supporting his grandfather, so it would be interesting to see his father face the consequences of being mean to his son.

'Record of Youth' originally airs on tvN on Mondays and Tuesdays in South Korea and can be streamed on Netflix in the US.
