'Real Housewives of Orange County' star Gina Kirschenheiter's husband Matthew arrested on domestic violence charges
'Real Housewife' star Gina Kirschenheiter's husband was recently arrested by the Orange County D.A. on two felony charges. Both the charges were related to an alleged domestic violence incident, reports TMZ. Matthew Kirschenheiter and Gina have been estranged since the previous season of 'Real Housewives of Orange County', and for the last six months, Matthew has been reportedly having an affair.
As of now, TMZ reports that Matthew is being charged by the DA with domestic violence and false imprisonment of Gina back in June this year. Documents have revealed that the incident had happened on June 22. It is around the same time that the RHOC star had filed for a restraining order against her then-husband, Matthew, and TMZ reports that these charges stem from the same incident. Matthew allegedly "inflicted corporal injury resulting in a traumatic condition" upon Gina, reveal documents. The DA hasn't listed details of the false imprisonment charges, but in relation to the accompanying domestic violence charges, it usually means that the defendant stopped the victim from leaving a room or their home.
Despite being arrested back in June, Matthew hadn't been charged until September 4. Gina had filed for divorce back in April 2018, which she comes clean about in the ongoing fourteenth season of RHOC, in the very first episode. Gina will be officially single on January 1, 2020, and she shares three children with Matthew, all three being minors.
