'Brutally honest': Reactions pour in after Julie Banderas drops 'divorce' news on live TV, calls Valentine's Day 'stupid'
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News anchor Julie Banderas announced she is getting a divorce on live television. Social media quickly rallied to comment on her life update. She made the sensational announcement while calling Valentine's Day a "stupid day" and claimed that while she was married, she "didn't get s***," labeling the day as a "Hallmark holiday."
The 49-year-old anchor tweeted to hint at her surprise revealing on live Television during Thursday night's show and wrote, "Tune into @gutfeldfox tonight at 11 pm ET. I have a little announcement at the end of the show. (During the Valentine's Day segment ironically)." Show host, Greg Gutfeld asked Banderas if her marriage was over and also if she was "going to get anything for Valentine's Day" to which she laughingly responded, "F*** Valentine's Day." She continued saying, "Yeah, it's stupid. Even when I was married I didn't get s*** for Valentine's Day...well, I'm getting a divorce, I'm going to go ahead and say it right here for the very first time."

Who is Andrew Sansone?
Andrew Sansone, 55, is a financial advisor for Allied Wealth Partners. The firm "provides financial security for individuals and businesses in the form of insurance." The 18-year Fox veteran and Sansone were married at the age of 35 and 42, respectively, in 2009 at New York City's Fifth. On December 9, 2022, Banderas announced on Twitter her split from Sansone saying that he was soon going to be her "ex" while she responded to a fan remarking that the pair had left them in "stitches."
'Hope someone gets her flowers'
Internet quickly ran to respond to Banderas' announcement of her divorce. A Twitter user wrote, "Poor woman. Hope someone gets her flowers" while another slammed the Fox anchor and wrote, "Not sure I’d describe this as iconic. Lots of oversharing in today’s society and also, using personal stuff as publicity and monetizing situations that are better kept private. Just my opinion, it’s her marriage, or once was."
"Funny stuff. Pretty bitter to say the least," a user opined and another wrote, "I admit it took a moment to figure out if it was part of the bit or not. Well done!"
