Rapper PnB Rock, 30, shot and killed while dining at LA eatery, fans say ‘need to stop with that jewelry flashing’
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rapper PnB Rock, whose real name is Rakim Hasheem Allen, was shot and killed in South Los Angeles. According to TMZ, the ‘Selfish’ hitmaker was dining at Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles on Monday afternoon, September 12 with his girlfriend when the unfortunate incident took place. LAPD to Fox News confirmed that they responded to a call where a person suffered a gunshot wound.
The officer confirmed that the victim shot had died. The 30-year-old rapper was stripped of his jewelry before the assailant fled the scene. Speaking of rappers getting shot and killed, artist VNZA was murdered in Missouri back in June 2021. Brooklyn rapper Supa Gates too faced a similar fate after he was shot multiple times in April 2021. Chicago rapper KTS Dre too made the headlines after he was shot 64 times on his head and other parts of his body in July 2021. Bay Area rapper Mike Darole was another hip-hop artist who was fatally shot during an attempted robbery in May 2021.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the fatal shooting took place around 1:23 pm at the restaurant in Inglewood, as revealed by law enforcement sources and the LAPD. Los Angeles police Capt. Kelly Muniz told the publication, “He shot the victim and ran out the side door to a getaway car and then fled the parking lot.” PnB Rock was rushed to the hospital but he succumbed to his injuries. The shooter is yet to be identified and arrested.
The girlfriend of the Philadelphia hip-hop artist had shared a picture of a meal on her Instagram and even the latter had hopped on Instagram stories hours before the shooting took place. A source spilled the beans to TMZ that the rapper was the sole target of the shooting as no one else present at the eatery was harmed.
Rock released his debut mixtape in June 2014 and got signed to Atlantic Records in 2015. In 2016, he earned a spot on Rolling Stone's ‘10 New Artists You Need to Know’. He was best known for his songs like ‘Feelins’, ‘Forever Never’, and ‘Lovin’ among a few other bangers.

Social media users took to Twitter to speak on the horrific incident. “Out of towners thinking LA is fun and games. Clout ain't worth ya life”, said one user as another posted, “Damn that fytnol really got people out here doing the most...like who goes in a restaurant and do something like this...And there was kids in there like wtf.”
The next one tweeted, “Too many shooting lately why.” Whereas, another mentioned, “RIP so sad. Need to stop with that jewlery/cash flashing stuff too cause there’s some hungry people out there with nothin to eat and nothing to loose stay safe.” And, one concluded, “Why can't everybody in the world just get along. I'm so sick of all this. Just endless crap happening all the time.”
