Based on newly published chart revenue called Hip Hop Numbers, the 36-year-old acclaimed rapper raked in an impressive $2M from the sales of ‘The Off-Season’ in the very first week, as published by Hot New Hip Hop. The new studio effort, which was a follow-up to his 2018 hit studio album called ‘KOD’, proved to be Cole’s sixth consecutive number-one album in the country. Cole earned the largest streaming week of 2021 with 325.5M streams while selling 282,000 album-equivalent units in its first week.

His songs from the latest album such as ‘My Life’, ‘Amari’ and ‘Pride is the Devil’ made him richer by $214,000, $193,000 and $185,000 respectively. His other songs added more revenue to his pocket. J Cole, whose real name is Jermaine Lamarr Cole, was born on January 28, 1985, in Frankfurt, West Germany. His father is a US Army veteran while his mother was a postal worker. Cole’s father abandoned his family when he was young. He gained interest in music at a young age as he started rapping at the age of 12. His mother later bought him an 808 beat machine so that he could practice and sharpen his skills.
