R. Kelly unable to pay $1 million bond immediately due to lack of funds, claims lawyer

The R&B artiste was recently indicted after being accused of sexual abuse by multiple women, some of them even being minors at the time of the abuse they suffered

Just a day after getting arrested, R. Kelly was given a $1 million bond by a Chicago judge on Saturday, but his lawyer claims the disgraced musician doesn't have enough funds to pay off the bail right away.

Real name Robert Kelly, the R&B artiste was recently indicted after being accused of sexual abuse by multiple women, some of them even being minors at the time of the abuse they suffered. His lawyer Steve Greenberg, however, maintains the musician is still 'presumed innocent' and even though he doesn't have the $100,000 to post bail immediately, he is confident that he will be able to produce the money, ABC correspondent Linsey Davis reported via Twitter on Saturday afternoon. According to Davis, Kelly also owes close to $162,000 in child support.
