Quibi, the newest streaming service on the block, has been generating a lot of buzz for its upcoming pilot batch of shows that drop on April 6. One show that is of particular interest to many is 'The Sauce', a traveling dance competition hosted by viral sensations Ayo & Teo with Grammy-winning R&B artist Usher serving as a judge and executive producer. The show aims to spotlight the diversity of dance culture in each city the show visits, giving a chance to dance teams from various backgrounds to show the world what they've got.

While we eagerly await what this show has to offer, many might ask — just who are Ayo & Teo?

Born Ayleo and Mateo Bowles, the brothers first shot to fame with their viral 2017 hit, 'Rolex'. But even before they went viral, this duo was generating buzz with their dancing skills after a video of them performing at their high school's talent show got over a million views.

Even more remarkable than their sudden fame, however, is the fact that these talented youngsters are entirely self-taught. 23-year-old Ayo began dancing at a young age and would go on to teach himself to play piano, drums, and the trombone, with 20-year-old Teo soon joining in and completing the dancing duo.

The pair credit artistes like Michael Jackson, Missy Elliot, Chris Brown, and Usher as some of their biggest influences. And, like a dream come true, the young dancers landed a spot in Usher's music video for 'No Limit' and even appeared in Chris Brown's 'Party' in 2016. That same year they also put out their first single, 'In Reverse' and performed at the BET Awards. And around this time, they also began to wear their trademark face masks after they were asked why they scrunched up their face when they performed. The duo claimed that it was intended to protect them on stage, but it eventually became part of who they are.

After their successful run in 2016, Ayo & Teo eventually signed with Columbia Records and put out 'Lit Right Now' in 2017 which was very soon overshadowed by the monumental success of 'Rolex', the music video for which featured Usher and a whole host of young, talented dancers. They returned in 2018 with the BL$$D-produced single 'Hold My Sauce' and will now bring their amazing skills to Quibi's 'The Sauce'. The same year they also collaborated with Lil Yachty on 'Ay3' and later in 2019, they featured on Reeseynem's 'Put It On Me' along with Chance the Rapper.

In keeping with their own roots and influences, the Ayo & Teo-hosted show will see dance teams in different cities battle it out street-style to prove they're the best in the country. Speaking about the show the duo has said, "We’re so excited to host this epic cross-country competition to find the dance squad with the most sauce...We went from self-taught dancers creating moves in our basement to putting out viral hits and starting global dance challenges, all in the span of 2 years. Now, we get to partner with The Front and Quibi to find the next big dancers with the same talent and potential as us."

The show will travel through 10 cities and see 22 teams perform before it selects its winner. And if the show is anything like Ayo & Teo's 'Rolex' video, it's bound to be as inspirational as it is fun.
