LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Margot Robbie has unveiled that Quentin Tarantino told her not to wash her feet on the sets while they were filming 'Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood'. In a recent video interview with Vogue, the Australian-born actress recalled the incident and discussed some of the most well-known outfits she has worn during her acting career.

Disclosing her fictionalized portrayal of Sharon Tate from the 1970s in 'Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood', which also starred Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Al Pacino, Tate gave an explanation of one of her most well-known sequences from the movie.

The scene in question is one in which Robbie's character sits in a movie theater without her shoes on and watches the movie with her bare feet propped up on the seat in front of her. According to TopMotionClips YouTube channel, there are 36 pictures of people's feet throughout the movie. The moment quickly became a topic of discussion among moviegoers.

Robbie claimed that although it was always in the script for her to "kick off her go-go boots" and put her feet up, she made the spontaneous decision to have them seem dirty in the final shot when the director instructed her "not to wash them that day," as reported by NME.

'Don't. Don't clean them'

She explained in the video, "My character walks into a movie theatre to see herself on the big screen, and she kind of kicks off her go-go boots and puts her feet up and settles in to watch the movie. But my feet were dirty because I'd been walking around set." She added, "They stayed dirty in the movie because Quentin said, 'Don't. Don't clean them', Someone ran in to do it, and he was like, 'No, it's real. Keep it'," as per reports.

The 'Pulp Fiction' director previously responded to claims that he had a "fetish" for women's feet and defended his choice to use them in his movies regularly. He said, "There's a lot of feet in a lot of good directors' movies," adding that he doesn't take the remarks "seriously". He added, "Like, before me, the person foot fetishism was defined by was Luis Buñuel, another film director and Hitchcock was accused of it and Sofia Coppola has been accused of it," as reported by NME.

In related news, Robbie revealed last month that she had first thought the next 'Barbie' film, in which she plays the lead role, would "never see the light of day." She said, "The first time I read the Barbie script, my reaction was, 'Ah! This is so good. What a shame it will never see the light of day because they are never going to let us make this movie.' But they did," as reported by Deadline.

The Greta Gerwig-directed movie, which is scheduled for release on July 21, has been eagerly anticipated by viewers. Will Ferrell, Michael Cera, Helen Mirren, Ryan Gosling, and other stars are cast in the movie.
