Over a month after the shocking announcement of Megxit, as Prince Harry is about to return to the UK for the upcoming Commonwealth day, the Queen has issued a plea to her grandsons. Queen Elizabeth is asking Prince William and Prince Harry to put on a “united front” when the Duke of Sussex visits London.

Harry, and wife, Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle's announcement to step down as senior royals and live a more "financially independent" life also expressed their wish in splitting their time between the U.K. and Canada. But this shocking move allegedly also strained the relationship between brothers Harry and William, the Duke of Cambridge, even further. And now, as the royal event draws nearer, their grandmother, Her Majesty, is "hoping everyone will put on a united front when Harry returns to London in March — even though there's still tension behind closed doors,” a source shared with Us Weekly. “It'll be interesting to watch their body language and see how they are together," they added.

This rift between the two princes allegedly began in 2017, when William had told younger brother Harry not to rush into his marriage with the former 'Suits' actress. According to People, the rift was also further amplified by Harry's decision to move to Canada with Meghan and their son, Prince Archie. The source added, “They didn't leave on good terms by any means, but they are both relieved that it's over. Perhaps [Meghan and Harry] didn't think things through exactly as they could have, but they wanted to be happy. Who can blame them for that?”

At the same time, a royal insider has spilled some sensational details on the issue, claiming that Harry is already regretting the decision, and is desperate to go home. The insider told the National Enquirer: “Harry’s miserable and beside himself with sorrow. He feels alone and cut off and is terrified of how he’ll handle the future and pay the bills.” The source also claims he had made a phone call to his brother's wife, the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton and spoke about making a "terrible mistake", adding that he's sorry for the troubles caused and would do anything to resolve them.

The palace source reportedly added: "Harry made a groveling phone call to Her Majesty. He told her he was sorry for the humiliation she suffered and only wanted to protect his wife and son. He said Meghan was unhappy and longed to escape from the confines of life in the royal fishbowl. But now, he sees he acted too soon — and should have demanded Meghan obey the rules."
