Who is Priscilla Tuft? Here's how Gabbi Tufts' wife of 19 years supported her during transition to trans woman
Former WWE wrestler Gabe Tuft, known by his stage name Tyler Reks, came out as a transgender woman on February 4, according to a press release. "She is now a beautiful, wise, witty and wonderful woman called ‘Gabbi'," said part of the statement. It also added that "finally, with the blessing of his loving wife Priscilla, Gabe is ready to reveal who he really is."
While the bodybuilder has been counting down the days of her reveal on her Instagram account, she has made sure to include her family in it. Gabbi has been married to her wife Priscilla since July 2002, and the duo even has a nine-year-old daughter named Mia together.
The couple showed a unified front during Gabbi's transition with Priscilla even set to be with Gabbi during her interview with Extra TV on February 5. The episode synopsis reads, "This is a story that wrestling and other sports fans, friends, and followers must not miss, especially many in the LGBTQ community dealing with challenging transgender issues, who Gabbi and Priscilla are willing to help." Who is Priscilla Tuft?
According to a page bio on her, she was born on April 23, 1981, in Portland Oregon and apart from being a bodybuilder, she is also a fitness model, actress and WNSO Professional Fitness Competitor. When she was 16, she was influenced by model Monia Brant and ended up pursuing bodybuilding. The page also reveals that Brant had become Priscilla's first posing coach for the Fitness America competition in 2003 — she had placed second.
She was also part of many ads such as Gold's Gym, MAC and World Wrestling Entertainment along with being featured on covers such as Max Sport and Fitness. She also has a few titles under her belt — Miss Fitness America Hollywood California, Miss Model America, Miss Max Muscle and achievement of a WNSO Professional Fitness Competitor card in 2004. She posts about her fitness journey too on social media.
On her Instagram page, Priscilla describes herself as a "Leading Thought Author, Empowerment Speaker, Intuitive Reiki Healer" along with sporting a link to her Reiki sessions. She, along with Gabbi came up with a fitness company called 'Body Spartan' with "an app to positively transform the body, mind, and spirit of men and women through targeted video workouts, nutritional programs, and motivational sessions".
The businesswoman's LinkedIn profile says that the duo founded the company and "assisted in the marketing planning and strategic deployment, creative development, fitness program development, social media content creation and management, video editing, and daily operations."
She is also an author of two eBooks, one audio-book, and is a nutritionist for eight separate fitness programs. Priscilla, who participated in a national tour as a keynote peace in 2017 further explains that she also "Assisted in the launch of all digital products, the supplement line, and apparel line, to catapult revenue from $6,000 per year in 2015 to $1.3M in 2016, and $2.7M in 2017." Besides Body Spartan, Priscilla also has a pilates and dance studio and two independent gyms.
As for her family love, it seems almost perfect! Last year Priscilla posted a picture with Gabbi writing, "The sweetest gift you can give your partner is not holding them responsible for your happiness — Personal alignment comes first, everything else is a condiment on your bliss sandwich." On Father's Day, she posted a beautiful family pic, writing in part, "When I watch him love her, I know that she will always have enough confidence and self-love to succeed at all her wildest dreams."
As part of her countdown to her gender reveal, Gabbi had posted a picture along with her wife writing in part "**2 days remaining** “Love transcends lifetimes” — There are lovers, there are soul mates, and then there are twin flames. Twin flames have a soul connection, they have different bodies and one soul. I am beyond certain that Priscilla and I share this incredible bond." The support Priscilla has shown Gabbi through her reveal is amazing.
