Princess Beatrice has a great plan to boost Britain's morale down owing to the novel coronavirus pandemic — an even bigger wedding for her and finance Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, a royal insider has revealed.

The eldest daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and Sarah, Duchess of York, was due to marry the British property developer at St James’s Palace in London on May 29. However, because of strict social distancing restrictions in place to prevent the spread of the virus, the wedding was delayed.

According to reports, plans are now on for a much larger wedding next year, claiming to be a perfect tonic for Britons fed up of the lockdown.

“As the granddaughter of the Queen, it seems unfair that Bea would have had to hide her nuptials from the public when her younger sister Eugenie did not have to. Eugenie’s wedding was televised and watched by three million viewers in the UK alone,” the insider said.

“Beatrice and Eugenie’s profiles and workload will increase after the departure of Harry and Meghan. Beatrice wants to show the public that she will never shirk her civic duties. She wants the public to see her as an individual, and not to be judged for the mistakes of her father,” the insider said pointing towards the earlier reports that claimed that the 31-year-old’s father's scandal may force her to have a low-key marriage in a "secluded castle or overseas".

Andrew was engulfed in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal which culminated in his humiliating interview with Newsnight’s Emily Maitlis. He was also fired by the Queen after he defied the palace's advice and went public with his links to disgraced billionaire pedophile Epstein.

“By next year, it would be wonderful if she could hold her head up high as she walks down the aisle in front of hundreds of people,” the source mentioned, suggesting that St George’s Chapel, Windsor, which can accommodate 800 guests, would be the obvious choice for the ceremony.

This comes a few days after reports claimed that Princess Beatrice might "never get married" after coronavirus pushed the wedding date once again. Royal expert Angela Mollard said, “Princess Eugenie, you remember her? She's the one who got married to Jack Brooksbank. Obviously, her sister is the poor royal bride who is never going to get married it seems. Eugenie is living with her mum, Fergie, Sarah Ferguson. They're at the royal lodge together. We know this because on Friday we found out the Duchess of York was handing out treats to NHS workers. She has a friend who runs a German confectionery company and she had this big delivery of confectionaries. They're putting together these care packages for doctors and staff at London hospitals, driving them to the hospitals and dropping them off. In the packages, they've got toothpaste, soap, dry pasta, cereal, and tinned fruit.”

Another royal expert, Omid Scobie said, “We heard before that the Queen was hosting a reception at Buckingham Palace in the gardens, that's no longer taking place. The couple is now working with the Government and taking Government advice to decide whether even a private marriage might take place among a tiny group of friends and family. From what I've heard after speaking with sources was the couple are now looking at postponing entirely until 2021.”
