Kate and William are 'so happy' Meghan and Harry are moving away, says royal insider: 'They are celebrating'
While most of the world still doesn't know what to make of Prince Harry's and Meghan Markle's exit from the royal family, some reports are indicating that Prince William and Kate Middleton are quite happy that the pair are out of their hair and in another continent.
Speaking to RadarOnline, a source purportedly from inside Kensington Palace revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are "so happy" now that the 'Megxit' deal is complete and Harry and Meghan will be spending a considerably smaller amount of time in the UK.
"They are so happy Meghan has left," the source said, quickly adding that the pair would not speak ill of the Sussexes in public to maintain a clean image even as reports suggest they are being groomed for the throne.
"They do not like Meghan," the source continued. "They are celebrating for sure."
Rumors suggest Kate and Meghan had seemingly been at loggerheads in the lead-up to her wedding with Prince Harry at Windsor Castle in 2018, with Prince William also said to have been against his brother marrying the former 'Suits' actress so quickly.
That had eventually caused a rift between the brothers as well, something Harry did not deny during his tell-all interview with ITV's Tom Bradby where he admitted that "as brothers, you have good days and you have bad days."
However, after almost two years after the apparent rift began, the two are said to have patched things up after Harry's decision to walk away from the royal family so he could work and be financially independent. They reportedly realized that it was "now or never" and held secret peace talks facilitated by Kate and Meghan before the former moved to Canada's Vancouver Island along with son Archie.
"William and Harry have spent time together privately away from the official Sandringham Summit working on their relationship and discussing their future," a source had said about the talks. "It has been ground-breaking in terms of saving their bond as brothers and has been totally driven by them. But Kate and Meghan, who was in Canada, did join in with some of the talks on more than one occasion — which is another sign of a real thaw in their relationship."
"Things are better. Given Harry is now permanently moving away, there was a realization if they didn't sort things out now, they never would."
