Prince Harry taken aback by ‘outpouring of love’ from public for King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla
WESTMINISTER, LONDON: After waiting longer than any monarch in history, King Charles III finally ascended the throne following the demise of Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday, September 8. The British public welcomed their king with love and adoration, a stark contrast to how he was perceived when he divorced Princess Diana and later married Camilla. But Prince Harry was a little taken aback by the kind of “outpouring of love" Britain has shown to King and his Queen Consort Camilla, a royal expert claimed.
According to the Express, journalist Josh Rom spoke to American far-right news channel Newsmax TV, saying, "He fears he might receive intense backlash from the publication of his book because he wasn’t expecting the absolute adoration from the family at the time of Queen Elizabeth II’s death, and the outpouring of love for King Charles III and also the Queen Consort, Camilla, as well as the utmost support for his brother Prince William and the Princess of Wales."

In the days following the death of the queen, the public witnessed a number of rare displays of unity between the Sussexes and the royal family. In his first public address as the monarch, Charles spoke warmly about Harry and Meghan and their new life overseas. Harry and William stood side-by-side with their father, who was devastated by the death of his mother. Harry and Meghan were even seen reuniting with Prince William and Kate Middleton for inspecting the floral tributes left by the well-wishers outside Windsor Castle. However, all these efforts went in vain as the royal brothers were no closer to 'mending' their relationship despite spending more time together.
The Sussexes' supporter Gayle King revealed Harry and Meghan returned to California without any real possibility of a rapprochement with the royal family. As a result of which, the royal family website moved their images to the bottom of the list. While Duke and Duchess continue to be part of the royal family, their about page has been demoted.
As per reports it seems like King Charles is not very happy with Meghan. He forbade Meghan Markle from traveling to Balmoral Castle as he felt her attendance at the castle would be inappropriate. Just a few days after Queen’s death, the King also asked Harry to shut down Meghan’s Spotify podcast once and for all as he felt she was going to exploit the death of the Queen in tell-all episodes for the audio streaming giant.
