King Charles sees 'flickers of hope' for future amity after meeting Harry and Meghan, royal insider claims
LONDON, UK: King Charles has apparently noticed the encouraging signs of a breakthrough in the royal family's strained relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan. This change in outlook occurred while they were spending time with the royal family in the days following the Queen's death. A source claimed, "Over the last 16 days or so, there were tremendous flickers of hope. In terms of the future, there is the hope of a cause for unity."
According to the insider, who spoke exclusively to The Telegraph UK, the conversations the King had with his son and Meghan are supposed to have inspired him. "It remains the case that the King loves both of his children," the insider told the outlet. Earlier, in his first speech on television as king, the King made a direct reference to Harry and Meghan. "I want also to express my love for Harry and Meghan, as they continue to build their lives overseas," King Charles said at the time. The conflict between Harry and his family, however, was once again the focus of several events in the days after that speech.

It is unclear, though, if Harry and Meghan will be welcomed back into the family given the likelihood that the Sussexes would continue to criticize the monarchy from their home in California. Also unknown is whether Archie and Lilibet, the children of Prince Harry and Meghan, will receive the titles of Prince and Princess, now that their granddad is the king. Earlier, there was confusion about whether Prince Harry would be able to wear his military uniform for the Queen's funeral.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry's tell-all memoir, while delayed, is still expected to be released by the end of the year. In addition, Meghan's podcast, which was temporarily put on hold out of respect for the royal family, will soon release its final nine episodes. Earlier, Meghan's interview with The Cut hit the headlines as the former actress said it takes a "lot of effort to forgive" and hinted that she can "say anything."
Speaking about the impact of their decision to step down as senior royals, Meghan told The Cut, "Harry said to me, 'I lost my dad in this process.'” However, Meghan also revealed that she believes there is 'room for forgiveness' between herself and the royal family. "I think forgiveness is really important. It takes a lot more energy to not forgive, but it takes a lot of effort to forgive. I’ve really made an active effort, especially knowing that I can say anything,” Meghan added at the time.
