Has Prince Harry's bombshell memoir been scrapped? Rumors swirl after release date remains unconfirmed
Prince Harry singlehandedly has the entire royal family riled up with his upcoming tell-all memoir which is expected to have certain truth bombs. It was previously reported that no one, including Prince Charles and Prince William, was privy to the content of this book. While it is said that he has finished writing the memoir and the legal team has even processed it, the release date is still in doubt. It was previously scheduled for a 2022 end date, but new information claims that it has been pushed to 2023.
The bombshell memoir crafted by the Duke of Sussex was supposed to hit the shelves somewhere around the holidays which makes sense as it is the most suitable time for rocketing book sales. However, the book would have clashed with Michelle Obama’s latest book, 'The Light We Carry: Overcoming in Uncertain Times,' which is coming out on November 15. Some sources have now claimed that Harry is confused and unsure about some of the content he has added in the memoir and that "things are up in the air" for the publishing date. The tension regarding the publishing started rising when his book was not available on any important platforms like Amazon for pre-sales which determine the success of the project.

As per Page Six, an insider claims that there is no publishing date for the memoir as of yet and the industry chatter regarding the same is at an all-time high. On the other hand, a publishing source confirmed that there had been talks of a November publication date, but it did not happen. They said, "I have heard that Harry has some truth bombs in his book that he is debating on whether to include or not. So this [push back is] no surprise if he needs more time to work on the book." The highly anticipated book would most probably talk about his relationship with his father, Prince Charles, and the tense relationship that he shares with his stepmother, Camilla Parker Bowles.
Prince Harry's bombshell memoir scrapped?
Some people who have been eagerly waiting for the memoir believe that the memoir is not happening. One user tweeted, "Deary me, it's like being stuck in a revolving door - this month, next year, after HM dies, October, Christmas asap, next year... 'Truth bombs' or bullying threats? He needs to be aware of how far shockwaves can travel from explosions - and how damaging they can be. Beware Harry." Another user wrote, "He just seen the backlash tw is getting and he's thought twice about releasing cause he knows they a now treading on extremely thin ice."

One user slammed the delay of the memoir writing, "This says to me his so-called memoir is either a load of rubbish full of fiction and fantasy and will flatline in sales or is Michelle Obamas book pre-orders putting his to shame that they are pushing it back and then hoping for the best. Either way i wont be reading it." Another user wrote, "I believe that this was just a scare tactic! Harry was never going to release his memoir this November/December! But pretending to take publicity away from announcing Prince William's Boston Earthshot! It's their classic will-they/won't-they tactic, but now it's they-will/they-won't."

When will Prince Harry's memoir come out?
Once again, there is no definite answer. The fact that Harry has skipped November means that the book would only be published sometime in the middle of 2023 as another source explained that Meghan Markle's better half is planning a big promo tour to sell the memoir. The insider tells Page Six, "There is a commitment for a number of weeks and dates and what that entails. His team will be confirming obligations now for a pretty robust and comprehensive promo tour. It will also have to be international, and that means the UK, one of the book’s biggest audiences."
If the promo tour is a reality, then we will see Harry making rounds on a number of morning talk shows including, CBS’ Gayle King. This would also mean that the Prince would have to go back to the UK after leaving the royal family for California in 2020. However, one source calls this comment far from home. According to them, thinking of a promo tour without finalizing the publishing date is baseless. Anyhow, there is no final publishing date and it is also expected that Prince Harry is, at the moment, making some drastic changes to the project he wrote for his $23.6 million deal.
