Prince Harry and Meghan Markle hire third nanny in six weeks for baby Archie after two others swiftly quit
Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle's staff woes continue as she hires yet another nanny for baby Archie after the first two stopped working for them in a span of six weeks. Despite the rising questions and speculations about Meghan's temperament and her ability to retain the staff, royal sources have maintained that the couple's decision in choosing a nanny was 'deeply personal' and 'depends on the needs of the baby and parents'.
The family is also seemingly okay with the fact that Meghan and Harry snubbed the royal tradition of hiring a Norland nanny. "Often there are different needs at different stages of the baby's life. The first nanny was a night nurse," The Sun quotes the source as saying. “But Harry and Meghan do not want to rush this or take any risks getting this decision right. It’s deeply personal and can depend on the needs of the baby and parents.”
Katie Nicholl, who has written a series of biographies on the royal family, had claimed on June 13 that the couple has hired a nanny for baby Archie since the hands-on parents have a very clear idea of how they want to raise their son.
Since her marriage to Prince Harry in 2018, the former actress has lost a large number of the staff, including a bodyguard, private secretary, and personal assistant Melissa Touabti, who was reportedly reduced to tears before she decided to quit. Private secretary Samantha Cohen, who has been working with the royal family for 17 years quit just a few weeks later. Meanwhile, the Duchess's female bodyguard - whose hiring the whole world was excited about - quit just six months into the job in January. Her assistant private secretary Amy Pickerill also parted ways with the Sussexes recently.
In comparison to Meghan's nanny crisis, Kate and William have had the same nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, since Prince George was eight months old, and now, she is caring for Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis as well.
