Prince Harry and Meghan Markle slammed for using 'press hounding' pic from 'Harry Potter' premiere in Netflix docu
CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's alleged paparazzi stalking in the trailer of their Netflix documentary was depicted by a photo that was really taken at a 'Harry Potter' premiere five years before the couple even met. The picture purports to show a throng of photographers jostling for position to take desired images of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
In reality, the photographers were standing next to the red carpet at the central London premiere of JK Rowling's final installment in the 'Harry Potter' movie series 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two'. Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint, the movie's three main actors, attended the premiere in July 2011 with the author. This happened five years before Harry and Meghan met for the first time in 2016.

The image is shown in the trailer when Prince Harry says, "I had to do everything I could to protect my family." Ingrid Seward, a royal expert, told The Sun, "I don’t imagine Harry would have realized, but Netflix have been careless here as it weakens Harry’s comment about protecting his family. This fake picture weakens his point." Doug Seeburg, the photographer for The Sun, was reportedly present at the Trafalgar Square premiere of 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2' in July 2011. He is shown in the lower right of the shot.
No one from the Royal Family is known to have gone to the premiere. Instead, the picture is the top result when you search for "paparazzi" on the stock image website Alamy. The six-part series' first trailer, which threatened to expose more details about the problems in the royal family, was released last week. According to royal insiders, the series is scheduled to premiere on Thursday and people can expect it to be "Oprah with more crying."
Social media users slammed Prince Harry and Meghan for using the "press hounding" pic in their Netflix documentary that was taken at the 'Harry Potter' premiere in 20211. One user tweeted, "How many more lies will this narcissistic couple peddle to make the world believe that they are victims?"
Another wrote, "Well that's embarrassing!" One user quipped, "She thinks she married Harry Potter?" One person wrote,"$100million deal and they couldn't provide netflix a genuine photo of paps hounding their little fam. netflix got scammed."
Another user tweeted, "When asked Netflix refused to comment because they know they screwed up AGAIN!" One said, "More lies, what a surprise!!!" "Everything is so fake," penned one user. One just said, 'Typical...."
Another user wrote, "Netflix got confused with fictional character Harry Potter with the fake Harry. Yes I have to agree the former is much loved character of the public, not the latter who is pretty much a narcissist. Hilarious blunder there."
