New York locals were heard saying that the Sussexes are looking at renting a home near the United Nations headquarters which is located at Midtown East in Manhattan. Last year in September, the couple was seen visiting Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed. Their arrival in the United Nations was labeled a rare public appearance. During this meeting, the trio spoke about crucial issues ranging from climate action to women's economic empowerment, and even mental well-being, youth engagement, and vaccine equity.
During their meet, the Sussexes were in New York to attend Global Citizen Live which is a concert at Central Park where leaders are called on to adopt a vaccine equity policy. The trio was photographed together around the UN logo and in another image, Meghan is seen greeting Mohammed with her elbow.
Amina Mohammed, the former environment minister for Nigeria shared some images on her Twitter timeline as she captioned it saying, "In conversation with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex — sharing how to engage on issues we care about deeply: climate action, women’s economic empowerment, mental well-being, youth engagement and vaccine equity."

Moreover, the couple met with Linda Thomas-Greenfield during the same trip who was the United States ambassador to the United Nations president Joe Biden.
The couple's first public appearance together since the birth of their daughter Lilibet was in June 2021. Meghan dreams of playing a UN role like her friend Amal Clooney, who worked there as counsel to former Secretary-General Kofi Annan. Two weeks ago Markle revealed her trailer for her upcoming Spotify podcast that aims at investigating 'labels that try to hold women back'.
The seven-second clip promoting the Archetypes podcast was released as part of the global music giant's estimated £18million deal with Meghan and Harry.
