'Unhappy' Prince Harry was 'incensed' after he was denied a meeting with the Queen despite sending email
LONDON, UK: According to a royal expert, Prince Harry was reportedly "incensed" after being denied a meeting with the Queen after writing an email expressing his displeasure with the royal family.
Harry earlier sent an email stating how "unhappy" he was in the monarchy, but was refused a meeting with the Queen because she was "confused about her diary," according to Valentine Low's new book 'Courtiers: The Inside Story of the Palace Power Struggles'. On the most recent 'Royally Us' episode, Christina Garibaldi and Christine Ross talked about the most recent allegations. According to Garibaldi, "He tried to tell the Queen in person and he was denied."

She continued, "The message was conveyed to him that the Queen had been confused about her diary and was no longer available. Harry was incensed [about this] because it was not true. The courtiers had got in the way, it seemed, because they saw the meeting with the Queen as an attempt to pick the Queen off before Harry started talks with the rest of the family."
According to reports, the incident took place around Christmas in 2019, just a few weeks before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they would retire from key royal roles. Garibaldi added, "Valentine Low writes that Harry thought about even going to Sandringham and, you know, confronting the Queen in person. [This] obviously didn't happen, but it seems like things definitely got testy behind the scenes."
Ross stated that this was not the first time his request to see the Queen was denied. Ross said, "It'll be interesting to see these stories, sort of, in this book, in print, expanded on with as many details as Valentine Low has."
Harry and Meghan Markle are no longer senior members of the royal family. The couple announced their retirement from senior royal status on their official Instagram account in January 2020. Two months later, in March 2020, they participated in their last royal engagement. Archie and Lilibet, the couple's two young children, live with them in California. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently traveled to the UK on business, but had to extend their visit after the Queen died.
