The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have axed a majority of their staff from their Frogmore Cottage home, as per reports.

At least two permanent employees who are a house manager and a cleaner have been shifted to other duties in the Queen's household. Other members of staff who were used on an ad hoc basis have been told that their services will no longer be required at Harry and Meghan's Windsor residence, Daily Mail has reported.

A source shared that no one is being dismissed but they were shifted to other jobs within the royal family. Earlier this week, the Buckingham Palace confirmed that Harry and Meghan will be starting their "new life" after stepping back as senior royals. This latest development adds to the speculation that Harry and Meghan will never return to reside in the UK.

We had previously reported that Meghan Markle has no intention of ever residing in the UK. A friend of Meghan Markle's had spoken to Daily Mail and shared, "She doesn’t want to raise Archie there, and she doesn’t want to schlep back and forth. She’ll make extended visits, but that’s it."

Harry and Meghan had welcomed their first child, baby Archie last year in May. Post his birth, Meghan had revealed that she was "miserable" living in Britain. Harry and Meghan shocked the world when they announced that they wanted to step back from being senior royals and that they planned to become "financially independent by starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution."

Their announcement came after their six week-long vacation in Canada. The post also revealed that they had planned to split their time between North America and the UK. The friend added that the two were looking for a permanent residence in Canada and shared, "What Meghan wants, Meghan gets. This was her plan all along, to eventually leave the UK and build her own empire with Harry."
