LOS ANGELES, CA: Imane "Pokimane" is undeniably one of the most prominent female streamers. Despite her attempts to conceal her identity by using voice-changing tools in online chat rooms, her efforts often fall short of her expectations.

After a period of maintaining her anonymity, someone eventually discerned her true identity and called her out.

Pokimane struggled to mask certain telltale traits, such as her distinctive facial expressions that she habitually used during interactions, even though her attempts at concealing her identity may have worked temporarily.

Eventually, Imane's utilization of a voice-changing tool was uncovered, resulting in laughter from both the streamer and her audience, whether it was due to the amusing revelation or simply viewers verifying it for themselves by watching the video.

Pokimane’s fans recognize her during Valorant stream

In a recent Twitch stream, Pokimane opted to play Valorant while using a modulated voice. However, her attempt at concealing her identity was short-lived, as a fellow player recognized her in less than an hour of gameplay.

The moment someone spoke in the voice chat, the question "Is that Pokimane?" immediately surfaced. This query was reiterated when Imane briefly took a quick breath during the game.

"Wait, Reyna, are you Pokimane?" the player asked.

Rather than verbally responding, the streamer communicated by having her in-game character vigorously shake her head back and forth in an attempt to deny the identification.

Following this, she promptly replied in her customary manner with the phrase often heard on her streams, "Whatever makes you happy, man," in the voice chat.

"Hey yo, that’s crazy! Yo, that’s crazy!" said another fan.

Upon hearing the comment, "Yo, that's crazy," both the streamer and her chat burst into laughter. It seemed that one or two individuals who had been discussing the possibility of the renowned streamer being in their lobby had gone to verify it for themselves.

Reddit reacts to the situation

A Reddit user posted on the platform with the title “Pokimane fails to be anonymous despite the voice changer,” prompting numerous people to leave their comments on the post.

A user also stated, “I can kinda understand her not using an AI voice since because she's a big streamer and there's a risk of starting drama when none of the AI voice models (that I know of) are officially licenced.”

Another mentioned, “Try asking Vei /s”, while another said, “Voicemod ai voices are kinda mid, rvc voice changer gaps, it actually sounds realistic with a properly trained voice model with rmvpe and rvcv2.”

Another user added, “His voice was definitely different but it sounded terrible. Not realistic at all.”
