Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg shared his happiness on Instagram after winning gold in both the Gi and No-Gi divisions of Brazilian jiu-jitsu. PewDiePie, a well-known YouTuber, mocked Zuckerberg in a comment on the post. He used the phrase ‘zucked’, which comes from Facebook's practice of removing posts that violate the site's rules.

Brazilian jiu-jitsu has recently captured Zuckerberg's attention, making headlines all around the combat sports community. During the Covid-19 pandemic, he developed an interest in martial arts, and more recently, he started taking part in BJJ competitions.

‘Zucked’

Zuckerberg shared a post on Instagram which read, “Competed in my first jiu jitsu tournament and won some medals for the Guerrilla Jiu Jitsu team. Thanks to @davecamarillo @khaiwu @intense0ne for training me.” PewDiePie took no time to troll the Facebook CEO and commented on the post, “Damn, imagine getting zuck'ed by the zuck.”

It is commonly known that Zuckerberg is becoming increasingly passionate about the activity, and he has trained with numerous top competitors in combat sports, like Alexander Volkanovski and Mikey Musumeci. Zuckerberg has already attended a UFC event, showing up to witness UFC Fight Night: Mackenzie Dern vs Yan Xiaonan at the Apex Center.

Joe Rogan calls Zuckerberg a ‘savage’

Black belt in BJJ under Jean Jacques Machado and Eddie Bravo, Joe Rogan recently expressed his views on Mark Zuckerberg learning ‘the gentle art’. At a recent local BJJ competition, Zuckerberg participated in the Masters White Belt Lightweight class and took home prizes in both Gi and No-Gi.

Rogan commended the Facebook CEO for being open to trying something new, saying, “Zuckerberg is a f*****g savage. He’s been training jiu-jitsu. This is what he did, he had a Covid mask, and he put a hat on, and he hid, and used an alias.”

He further added, “He doesn’t have to do anything, he’s one of the richest people on Earth, and he just takes a chance and tries to get good at this thing. Then he goes and competes in this thing, we should all celebrate that. That’s amazing.”
