Is Pete Davidson quitting SNL for reality TV? Fans say 'he getting that Kardashian money’
Pete Davidson, who joined the sketch comedy show ‘Saturday Night Live’ in September 2014, might finally be saying goodbye to the show after eight long years. According to reports, the ‘The King of Staten Island’ actor will be hanging up his boots from 'SNL' after the Season 47 finale.
Also, he is not the only one exiting the show as new reports have suggested that Davidson’s co-stars Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant, and Kyle Mooney will be departing as well. Davidson was the youngest actor at the age of 20 to join SNL and also the first cast member to be born in the 90s. He is one of the longest-serving actors on the show.

Is Pete Davidson leaving SNL?
According to Variety, Davidson will be making his grand exit after SNL wraps up its Season 47. NBC was not available for a comment on the same but social media users were quick to react to the news. Many claimed that he might be calling it quits for the Kardashians show. Pete had also dropped a hint about leaving SNL during an interview with Charlamagne Tha God in 2020.
While admitting that he was ready to walk away from the show, Pete stated, “I have conversations with a lot of people [about leaving]” adding, "It's a hard thing to do, because you don't want to ever pull the trigger too early. Everybody's always been like, 'You'll know when you know and it'll all be all right.'" Pete had also dropped a hint about leaving SNL when he’ told The Hollywood Reporter in May 2021 that he was ready to “hang up the jersey” adding, “Yeah, I’m good. I’m surprised I made it to seven [seasons].”
Pete Davidson quitting 'SNL' is 'mother of all blunders'
Social media users flocked to Twitter to speak on Davidson leaving 'SNL'. “Pete, Kyle, Aidy and Kate leaving SNL is like when a dying mall loses the last installment in its food court. It’s over”, said one user as another posted, “I'm going to be quite honest and say that I do not blame Pete Davidson for leaving SNL. If I were that guy I would try to have all the free time I could get.” Another stated, “So, you’re telling me that Pete Davidson is leaving SNL to be a part of the Kardashians reality TV s**t-show? Man, this would be the mother of all blunders.”
The next one shared, “People are treating Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant, Pete Davidson, & Kyle Mooney leaving SNL as this crazy shake-up. But I remember when actors didn’t stay there longer than Supreme Court judges. Sandler & Farley were let go after 5 years. SNL was a launching pad, not a forever home.” One said, “I do not give a sh**e about Pete Davidson leaving SNL. He’s barely been on this season anyway”, as another concluded, “He getting that Kardashian money. Get that bag, king.”
