Kicking off right after Tray's abrupt return to West Philadelphia, Episode 6 of 'Bel-Air' begins with Will being trolled on social media. You would expect Carlton to be the one responsible for it but in what comes as an unpleasant surprise to many, including Will, it's Tray. Calling Will "a snake" for choosing to have different plans for the future, Tray's post begins to gain traction on Instagram, upsetting Will significantly.

The Banks find out about this, and what follows is a scene involving Phillip and Will that makes us reminisce the times when James Avery's Phillip Banks stood by Will in 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.' Though the scene isn't on the same level as the ones in 'Fresh Prince,' it's efficient and it gets Will to put the trolling behind him and be there for his family, who require his support. There's a fundraiser honoring Lisa's late mother coming up in a couple of hours and the Banks are shorthanded, making the entire family chip in to ensure that the event sails smoothly.

Throughout the event, all key characters of 'Bel-Air' experience a challenging moment or two that requires them to make a decision. With Will having to choose between keeping his word to Carlton or fortifying his relationship with Lisa, Hilary choosing to outdo herself as an influencer despite her restrictions, Vivian opting to restart her career as an artist, Ashley expressing her feelings to Lucia, and Carlton not letting his anxiety and insecurities get the better of him, Episode 6 of ‘Bel-Air’ is an extremely layered yet thoroughly engaging watch. To add to the list of challenges, it’s eventually revealed that one of Phillip’s sponsors has backed out and that he has a new contender running against him for DA.

Titled ‘The Strength to Smile,’ Episode 6 of ‘Bel-Air’ ends with things changing for better or worse for Will and his family. Jabari Banks is brilliant as usual but it’s Olly Sholotan and Cassandra Freeman who deliver amazing performances as Carlton and Vivian. While Freeman gets to be a straight gangsta, Sholotan makes you feel for him and even overlook everything he has done so far as Carlton in ‘Bel-Air.’

Fresh episodes of 'Bel-Air' drop Thursdays at 5 am ET on Peacock.
