'Bel-Air' Episode 10 Review: Will makes a discovery that pushes him away from close ones
Contains Spoilers for 'Bel-Air' Episode 10
It's quite repetitive but by now it's clear that 'Bel-Air' is nothing like 'The Fresh Prince' apart from the basics. Created by Morgan Cooper, who only uses the skeleton of the hit 90s sitcom, the Peacock series is a darker and dramatic retelling that follows a teenager who is shipped off to live with his wealthy relatives in the posh neighborhoods of Bel-Air after getting into a fight in West Philadelphia.
Will, played by Jabari Banks, finds it difficult to settle down in the beginning but eventually realizes that there are better prospects for him in Los Angeles and that the move is a blessing in disguise. However, over time he also finds out a lot more about his family and about the things that they've hidden from him or rather protected him from. One of them is his father Lou. Episode 10 of 'Bel-Air' touches further on this aspect of Will's past as Lou returns, bringing with him a whole lot of turmoil.

Titled 'Where To,' Episode 10 begins with Vivian receiving the art fellowship and being thrown a party to celebrate her achievement and showcase her art. Will tries to fix things with Lisa, expressing his feelings for her, and she asks him to meet her the next day. Phillip is approached by the Reverend and another member of his fraternity who ask him about his plans, now that he's out of the race to become the District Attorney. Though there are possibilities of him getting back at Fred Wilkes and Judge Robertson, Phillip reveals that he plans on being there for his family at the moment.
The morning after, Lou shows up at the Banks' mansion and asks to see Will. He leaves after Phillip tells him to wait till he hears from Vivian but Carlton happens to listen in on their conversation and he ends up informing Will about Lou resurfacing. After a little bit of hesitation, Will reads the file that Geoffrey gave him. He confronts Vivian and Phillip about it and they agree to let him meet his father.
Will and Lou have a tepid reunion and it leads to a fight as Will cannot tolerate Lou speaking ill of his mother. He storms out on Lou and leaves the mansion after his father's departure as he no longer trusts Vivian and Phillip since Lou disclosed that they had also abandoned Viola and Will.
Episode 10 of 'Bel-Air' ends with Jazz and Will having a conversation at a viewpoint that looks over Los Angeles while Carlton approaches Lisa asking her to help him bring Will back to the mansion.
'Where To' brings to an end a humdinger of a series that had only one dull episode. It also ends where the series began for Will. The premiere episode of 'Bel-Air' saw Will and Jazz at the viewpoint right before he started a new phase of his life. The ending symbolizes the next phase of Will's life and we only hope that it's as fruitful as the previous one. Though we're going to have to wait to find out about it, the good news is that 'Bel-Air' was given a two-series order by Peacock a month after the official announcement. Sadly, the timing is indefinite as of now.
'Bel-Air' is available for streaming on Peacock.
