'Bel-Air' started as a show known for its dark and gritty drama. Based on a fan trailer made by Morgan Cooper and executively produced by Will Smith, the series won over the hearts of many, including those who were initially skeptical about it as the retelling lacked humor for most parts if not its entirety. Sadly, it meandered a little too much recently and focused on things that didn't really add much to the show, making it a tad boring to watch at times.

Fortunately, Episode 9 of 'Bel-Air' redeems the series, pulling it back to the style that it's famous for. Titled 'Can't Knock The Hustle', Episode 9 of 'Bel-Air' begins with Will and family attending the church where Carlton goes through an embarrassing experience as he has a mild panic attack during a solo performance. After which, he has a conversation with Will and is rather relieved to know that his cousin has got his back irrespective of their differences. Will offers his support and promises to be there for Carlton in any and all ways.

'Bel-Air' Episode 7: Why did Vivian Banks give up on her art career?

Geoffrey provides Will with the information that he asked about his father but he's torn between wanting to know more about Lou or not as it could have serious implications with respect to the bond that he shares with the Banks. Phillip finds it difficult to find more sponsors for his campaign and is shown considering other means to topple Fred Wilkes as the odds of him winning begin to become more unlikely. At one point he even considers outing Fred for his infidelity but just like Will happens to be hesitant due to the consequences.

Parallelly, the women of the house are seen pondering over the choices laid in front of them too, with Vivian having to choose between a regular familial life or a life of travel and public speaking that comes along with her art career and Hilary having to deal with the aftermath of leaving Kylo's influencer house. Lisa also makes a startling discovery about Will that could break their relationship.

'Can't Knock The Hustle' moves in typical 'Bel-Air' fashion and comes as a relief to those who felt that series was losing steam. It pays the right amount of attention to each storyline and brings them all together towards the end in a masterful blend. Adrian Holmes, Cassandra Freeman, and Jimmy Akingbola shine, while the rest of the cast nails it as usual. Episode 9 of 'Bel-Air' ends in a manner that emphasizes the core message of the show. Family over everything else, all day, every day.

Fresh episodes of 'Bel-Air' drop Thursdays at 5 am ET on Peacock.
