Being a part of the ‘fast family’
Meadow Walker, who is having a successful modeling career with Proenza Schouler and Givenchy, is already considered a part of the ‘Fast’ family. In August 2021, she got married to actor Louis Thornton-Allan. In October 2021, Meadow was given away to her groom by her father’s co-star Vin Diesel in an intimate wedding. Diesel is also her godfather.
In 2015, she founded a charitable organization called The Paul Walker Foundation through which she has continued to maintain her father’s legacy of philanthropic work. Meadow is the daughter of Paul Walker and Rebecca Soteros.
Paul died in a fatal car crash in Southern California in 2013 at the age of 40. During the time of the accident, he was sitting in the passenger seat of a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT, which was driven by a racing team partner. The car crashed into a light pole and burst into flames.
People on social media reacted to Meadow's Instagram post. Scott Eastwood gushed, “He was so proud of you!!!! He is smiling about this right now!!” Her post even elicited a reaction from Vin Diesel, who commented with an emoji. “Wait WHAT!!! YOURE IN THE MOVIE ?!!!!!” exclaimed her husband in an epic reaction!
A fan commented, “OMG!!! this is so emotional Thanks to Paul Walker, we've all become lovers of cars and Fast and Furious... Paul is so proud of you Meadow .” “You’re in the movie?! That’s awesome. I’m excited to see your part,” one fan wrote.
'Your dad would be proud'
"Ok. Will watch Fast X for Meadow Walker," declared one fan who would be watching the movie just for Meadow. Another jubilated, "That’s awesome! Your dad would be proud," as they recalled her famous father.
However, one dissenter said, "She secured a part in her dad’s movie franchise. Has nothing to do w legacy." Another remarked scathingly, "Does she crash and die irresponsibly?" One fan commented, "Wow, I'm sure Paul Walker would be thrilled to know his legacy is being honored by another "Fast" movie. It's not like they've already made 9 of them or anything..."
