Is Park Chanyeol back? Viral EXO video with Baekhyun, Kai and Sehun after cheating controversy has fans ‘crying’

The beloved K-Pop idol recently made headlines when a woman accused him of cheating on her during the three years of their relationship

It's been over three months since fans of Exo asked rapper Park Chanyeol to walk out of the South Korean-Chinese boy band after a seemingly unending cheating controversy sparked by an alleged ex-girlfriend. However, Chanyeol's fans were thrilled after a video of the group members chatting went viral on Twitter. His fans are now over the moon that the star has made a comeback after the controversy. 

This is the video that sent Chanyeol's fans into a tizzy and it also features Byun Baekhyun, Kim Jongin and Oh Sehun. With the clips floating all over social media, fans can't stop wondering if he will soon be back.

What was Chanyeol's cheating controversy?

The cheating controversy had made Chanyeol the top most searched celebrity in the Korean portal Naver after his alleged ex-girlfriend uploaded a lengthy message on several online communities along with photos. In the message, she alleged that Chanyeol dated her for three years and it took her as long to find out that he cheated on her with more than 10 women. She alleged that Chanyeol dated members of K-Pop girl groups. The message also named a flight attendant, a DJ, a YouTuber and a dancer.

SM Entertainment, South Korea’s largest entertainment company responsible for developing and popularising the band, broke its silence regarding the controversy and said they have “no official position” on Chanyeol.

After much speculation, some fans claimed that the photographs posted by the alleged ex-girlfriend are photoshopped.

Were those rumored allegations true?

Although international EXO-Ls continued to send support and love for the idol, a petition made by the Korean online community was posted asking for EXO Chanyeol’s withdrawal from the K-Pop boy group.

On October 29, EXO fans on the online community DC Inside posted a petition that stated that since Chanyeol has not responded to the controversy, he should leave the band. The post stated: "We want to send a celebrity back to regular life after a long journey together. Since the issue of Chanyeol's personal life was raised, SM Entertainment has made an absurd position that it has no official position."

Other fans took it upon themselves to play detective and debunk the allegations. Many stated that the images are photoshopped and they even posted evidence of their claims.

‘After 100 days Park Chanyeol finally showed up’

Twitter surged with pictures and posts of Chanyeol as fans saw him with EXO members Baekhyun, Kai and Sehun in one frame.

"Oh My Gawd!! What am I seeing??  EXO together after a year's time! Park Chanyeol  Sehunniiee's hair Sekai in one frame Never knew I'd be crying the moment I open my eyes My Best Morning of 2021.. I luv my Best Boiiss #EXO @weareoneEXO," tweeted a fan. 

"Hey you!!! Yes you Mr. Park Chanyeol! We miss you. Come back already," said another. Some have been counting days like this fan who wrote, "after 100 days Park Chanyeol finally showed up," they said.

Fans were overjoyed on watching Korean skincare line Nacific's advertisement starring Chanyeol late last month.

Fans were delighted now that Chanyeol is presumed to be back in public life. "THIS IS NOT A DRILL. PARK CHANYEOL IS HERE," wrote one fan.
