Paris Hilton goes topless in steamy photoshoot and recalls how she created 'a whole new genre of celebrity'
Businesswoman, socialite, model, singer and actress Paris Whitney Hilton has made a name for herself and become one of the most successful American media personalities of her generation. In a shoot with 'Rollacoaster,' the 39-year-old socialite went topless and talked about how she created a "whole new genre of celebrity".
If you grew up in the '90s, you would know how Hilton influenced the entertainment world with Dior glasses, Juicy tracksuits and chihuahuas. "I was always ahead of my time and just being an innovator, setting the precedent and creating a whole new genre of celebrity."
"I think that was the beginning of all that. So many things I used to wear back then nobody was wearing. I had no stylist, I did that all by myself," said Hilton.
Hilton also dished on 'The Simple Life', an American reality television series that aired between 2003 and 2007. The series showcased the lives of Hilton and socialite Nicole Richie as they learned to live with a middle-class family.
Talking about if she wanted to do a reunion, Hilton said that while she would love to do so, it's not possible for her at this time. "It’s just so iconic and timeless, I don’t think there's ever – there is no reality show like it," Hilton said.
"They’ve asked me to do it, but my schedule is just so insane that I don’t know where I’d find the time." She also revealed that she still, in fact, watches the episodes from back in the day and that "Nothing will compare to Nicole and me."
As for friends in high places, Hilton who sported a goth-emo phase back when it wasn't popular revealed that she "loved Marilyn Mason" and is friends with the singer now.
With global fame and a net worth of $300 million, we can safely assume that her friend's list has been intently popularized since the '90s. "Basically any product you can name, I make it," said Hilton as the socialite boasts 23 fragrances with 19 product lines and 50 retails stores globally. And, yes, the hotels too!
So what does the blonde beauty keep busy with now? "I'm actually doing venture capital now, so I'm investing in a lot of different projects." Among them is The Glam App, which Hilton describes as "the Uber of beauty services". She also has a new documentary coming out that she hopes inspires and "surprises" her critics.
"I feel they'll understand me. It's fun, it's funny, it makes you laugh and cry, there are so many emotions when watching this film. I feel like this is my boss babe year. I'm just gonna continue Sliving. Now, I'm in the best place I've ever been in my life, I feel comfortable with I am and just to share things I’ve never shared before. I feel like it's time for people to know the real Paris."
FYI, "Sliving" is Hilton’s latest abbreviated trademark, a combination of slaying and living.
