LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In her endless quest to find true love, Pamela Anderson was reportedly desperate to have a child with embattled WikiLeaks founder and whistleblower Julian Assange, between ending her relationship with French soccer star Adil Rami and two more failed marriages.

Anderson got a chance to talk about her life, work, and personal experiences in the recently released Netflix documentary 'Pamela, A Love Story'. The 'Baywatch' bombshell delved into her childhood, her path to fame and success, her many scandals, as well as her family. She also opened up about her various romances, but one significant relationship she left out was allegedly the one she had with the jailed WikiLeaks founder. Sources claimed the pin-up girl desperately wanted to have a baby with him.

Pamela Anderson was enamored by Julian Assange

"Pam wants another child in the worst way — and Julian is desperate to gain his freedom — so she's convinced they can come to an agreement," an insider spilled in 2018, as quoted by Radar Online. The model, who was 51 at the time, made regular visits to the international fugitive, who had been holed up in London to escape extradition to the US where he is accused of releasing classified American documents and compromising national security.

Sources reportedly claimed at the time, "Pam has told Julian she would use all her extensive contacts in the entertainment industry and behind — along with a little Baywatch persuasion with some powerful men in the government — to convince authorities to drop the spying charges against him." Her plan, however, did not succeed, and Assange continues to fight extradition to the US to face charges.

After weeks of speculation Wikileaks founder Julian Assange was arrested by Scotland Yard Police Officers inside the Ecuadorian Embassy in Central London this morning. Ecuador's President, Lenin Moreno, withdrew Assange's Asylum after seven years citing repeated violations to international conventions.

Nonetheless, Anderson continues to fight for Julian, although it is unclear if she still wants to have a child with him. The 'Blonde and Blonder' star reportedly told her close friends years ago that she "loves" the WikiLeaks founder. "There's nothing sexier than courage," she reportedly gushed at the time. "Even if Pam has to get a surrogate to carry their child, she wants Julian to be the father," an insider claimed in 2018. Anderson has been rather open about her admiration for Assange in her memoir, 'Love, Pamela', recalling boozy nights with the controversial figure while he sought refuge at the Ecuadorian embassy.

The Playboy model claimed she and Julian would often drink Mezcal "through the night," describing their time together as "romantic because it was so inspirational." It's no secret that she was enamored by him. "He’s so passionate about life and about everything. There’s just nothing that he says that isn’t fascinating," she wrote about Assange, adding, "So there was definitely a connection. We would just talk through the night and drink mezcal and laugh and tell stories."

'Love, Pamela' hit the shelves on January 31 and became a bestseller in no time. Aside from discussing Assange, Anderson also opened up about her torrid love affair with Tommy Lee and her short-lived marriage with Kid Rock among others.

Where is Julian Assange?

Assange is currently being held at Belmarsh prison in London following a years-long battle to avoid extradition to the US. The saga began in 2010 when WikiLeaks shocked the world by publishing a dump of more than 250,000 US diplomatic cables leaked by Chelsea Manning, a former US army soldier. Some of the leaks contained classified diplomatic analyses from world leaders, sparking a criminal investigation by the US government.

That same year, the UK ruled Assange should be extradited to Sweden after an arrest warrant was issued against him for two separate sexual assault allegations in the country. The decision prompted the whistleblower to enter the Ecuadorian embassy in London in August 2012, claiming political asylum. He expressed fears at the time that Sweden would extradite him to the US. Assange eventually left the embassy in 2019 but was arrested in the UK for skipping bail and ultimately put behind bars. The US started extradition proceedings against him shortly after.
