DENVER, COLORADO: Paige Spiranac, the 30-year-old golfer and influencer, has gained immense popularity with her glamorous photos on the golf course, sporting tiny, tight-fit skirts and low-cut tops. She has garnered around 3.7 million Instagram followers and has been titled the 'world's sexiest woman.' Even though she has experienced a swift ascent to stardom, it has come at a price. During an Instagram Q&A session on Monday, Spiranac expressed her willingness to play a match with Tiger Woods or Tom Brady, but she also revealed the downside of being a woman in a male-dominated industry.

"One thing people don't talk about with being a woman in a male-dominated industry, whether it's golf or the sports industry, is that any time I do content with another man there are rumors and comments, and it's all disgusting sexual stuff," said Spiranac, according to the NY Post. She went on to say that such rumors make it difficult for her to participate in certain events, and it is frustrating that she cannot interact with people normally. "I don't want to start any of those rumors for myself or for them. I just wish people could be normal and realize that there could just be a male-female working relationship with nothing else going on," she added.

'People are going to criticize it'

Spiranac has shared her journey toward feeling confident in her own skin, and how she has learned not to care about people's opinions of her. "It's taken years," she admitted during an interview. "I got to the point where I was like, 'no matter what I do people are going to criticize it'."

She further explained that she wants her social media channels to be a fun and positive place for her followers, rather than the doom and gloom that often prevails on social media. "I want it to be fun and stupid and provocative and interesting and just sexy and fun. I don't care what people think about me anymore," she added. Spiranac also revealed that she personally manages all of her social media channels, including editing her reels and videos.

Navigating the highs and lows of online fame

Spiranac has also faced numerous challenges because of her popularity. One major issue she has had to deal with is the proliferation of fake accounts impersonating her, which have attempted to scam her fans. Spiranac mentioned that she has to report dozens of fake accounts every day.

Another problem she has faced is harassment from trolls and strangers in public places. She recounted a traumatic experience where an elderly woman publicly shamed her for her outfit while on the course, leaving her shaken. Additionally, she has been subjected to online insults, including being called "fat and ugly" after being named Maxim's sexiest woman. Spiranac also claimed that she was stalked by a group of girls during her time in college, forcing her to delete her Instagram account and change her name to Paige Renee.
