In tragic news, rapper and former Bad Boy Records artist Black Rob died at the age of 51. According to reports, he died on Saturday afternoon due to kidney failure and multiple ailments. In a video that surfaced last week, the rapper had paid tribute to DMX who died a couple of days ago.

Soon after the news was announced, it led to much backlash online and it seems P Diddy is going to face a rough couple of days fielding questions by fans of the late Harlem rapper Black Rob. Black Rob's frail appearance had raised concerns among his fans and a GoFundMe was started to help pay his medical cost as well as help find shelter for the rapper.

He was struggling with dialysis due to kidney failure but the fact that he suffered four strokes in the past six years and his acquaintances in the industry did nothing to help him or raise awareness resulted in a frenzy amongst Black Rob's fans.

He was formerly signed with Bad Boy Records, founded by Sean Combs aka P. Diddy and he was on the receiving end of a lot of hate for not reaching out to Black Rob. On Wednesday (April 14) former Bad Boy artist Mark Curry notified the 'Whoa!' rapper's fans via an Instagram video about Diddy's attempts to get in touch amidst heavy criticism for his silence. “Puffy, we need your help and you are reaching out,” Curry said. “You’re trying to help. We’re not trying to say he’s not. He’s really trying to help.”

Fans were donating to the GoFundMe that was created by producer Mike Zombie and Curry helped transfer the funds to Rob. The goal of the fundraiser was set to $50,000 and up to the time of his death approximately $25,000 had been raised by one thousand donors. As soon as news of his death broke, there has been a steady rise in the number of donors who have come forward to contribute to the cause and the money raised will possibly go towards his funeral arrangements. At the time of this writing, $27,981 has been raised.

Why is P Diddy being slammed after Black Rob's death?

P Diddy's Revolt TV was the first to share the news of Black Rob's death on Twitter and fans are furious and looking for answers regarding the record producer's silence in this regard. "Not Diddy’s company being the ones to break this story, while Black Rob’s GFM never reached its goal. The layers. Rest well, Sir," read a tweet.

"The fact that Black Rob had to create a GoFundMe for housing and medical bills should tell you how the black gatekeepers in the music industry truly feel about black lives mattering," read another tweet.

A couple of days ago P Diddy wrote an open letter to General Motors demanding fair pay and demanding economic inclusion. "If you love us, pay us!" he wrote in the letter where he named GM for "exploiting" Black culture and excluding Black entrepreneurs from participating in the value created by Black creators. Check the letter in its entirety here. Diddy's silence on a Black rapper struggling with basic necessities didn't go down well with fans and they were quick to call him as Rob's video surfaced and they continue to slam the record executive after the death news broke.

"Diddy sucks the life and money out of your career then leaves you to suffer. Like damn," another angry fan wrote. "He had to crowdfund his health care because Diddy don’t pay some of his artists," another fan alleged. "Diddy gonna get his one day. The amount of artists he burned just to become wealthy is too much to bury," another fan wrote. "Diddy your karma will come to you for what you did to these men I promise dawg. RIP Black Rob," read another tweet from a heartbroken fan.
