It's time for the Oscars 2020 and celebrities turned up in their best outfits at the star-studded ceremony. Kristen Wiig, who is all set to play Barbara Ann Minerva in her final Cheetah form in 'Wonder Woman 1984', turned heads at the red carpet in a controversial outfit.

As she made an appearance in a bright red puzzling lobster dress, onlookers were taken aback and social media was full of tweets, comparing her dress to everything, right from a "bloody tampon" to "lasagna" and "the lining of your intestines."

"Kristen Wiig looks like a bloody tampon on the red carpet," one tweet read and another said, "Desperately searching for a picture of Kristen Wiig because you guys NEED to see it. Comparisons at my current gathering include: a bug, a swiffer pad, the lining of your intestines #Oscars2020."

One tweet read, "Get your sea creature wiggle on, Kristen Wiig," and another said, "I love Kristen Wiig, but her dress looks like a red lasagna noodle."

One fan ended up calling it a "red squiggle wiggle dress" and wrote: "I don't care what else happens tonight because Kristen Wiig's red squiggle wiggle dress has won the whole thing," and another said, "Kristen Wiig is an architectural valentine, and I would buy this at papyrus if it still existed, RIP, stationary."

Meanwhile, some saw her dress in a positive political light. "On another, more positive note, Kristen Wiig's dress is EVERYTHING!!! #Oscars2020," one fan posted and another wrote, "I adore Kristen Wiig so I hope that the fact that her dress looks like a uterus is a political statement for women’s rights! #Oscars2020."
