Twitter users speculate that Oprah Winfrey might sit down with Will Smith and Chris Rock for an interview after the scandalous slapgate incident at the 2022 Oscars

The hype around the infamous slapgate incident that happened at the 94th Academy awards has not slowed down as now speculations have been made that the talk show host Oprah Winfrey might sit down with Will Smith and Chris Rock for an interview. For the uninitiated, Smith smacked Rock at the Oscars on Sunday night, March 27, after the latter apparently made fun of Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head.

While entertaining the crowd during the event, the comedian addressed Jada and compared her hair loss due to alopecia to Demi Moore’s look in the movie 'GI Jane'. For obvious reasons, the 50-year-old actress did not laugh it off but ‘The Pursuit of Happyness’ star was seen enjoying it, however, moments later, things became serious when he walked onto the stage and slapped Rock. Smith also said, “Keep my wife’s name out of your f**king mouth!”

Minutes after the live bombshell incident, Will Smith was honored with an Oscar for the best actor and he used his acceptance speech to apologize but not to Rock. The actor said, “I want to apologize to the Academy. I want to apologize to all my fellow nominees. This is a beautiful moment and I’m not crying for winning an award. It’s not about winning an award for me. It’s about being able to shine a light on all of the people.”

And now people on the internet have started speculating that Winfrey might soon interview Smith and Rock.
