SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO: Olivia Dunne, the top-earning female athlete in the NCAA, has been using social media to advocate for gender equality in college sports. The 20-year-old gymnast made her debut in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit's issue at the end of April.
Following the announcement of her appearance in the magazine, many of Dunne's 11 million followers on TikTok and Instagram expressed their excitement and support. Her photo shoot for the magazine, which was shot in Puerto Rico by photographer Ben Watts, marked both her first time modeling swimwear and her editorial debut. Dunne seemed at ease and confident throughout the shoot with the rest of the team of the magazine.
