CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES: A woman captured a hilarious yet nerve-racking moment on camera which showed her nearly getting stuck upside down while trying a dangerous TikTok trend. Olivia Cormier, 21, from California, ended up with one leg around her neck and struggled to break free in her attempt to recreate the mobility trend she had seen all over the video-sharing app.

The footage showed her frantically attempting to swing her legs back over her head with a clear look on her face, showing that she messed up. At one point, it looked as if the TikToker was not so sure if she was going to make it as she frantically waggled her foot. "I was trying to recreate a mobility trend I saw on TikTok at my local gym where I had to momentarily fight for my life to get out of that pose," she said of the video, according to Daily Mail. Cormier wrote on the top of the seconds-long clip: "The moment when you know you messed up." The video has reportedly garnered over 14.5 million views and more than two million likes.

'My heart just skipped a beat'

Netizens flooded the comments section with one writing, "Nooo my heart just skipped a beat." The gym bunny responded to the post stating, "Mine skipped like 12!" Many users could not help but note how funny the clip was. "IM DEAD," one wrote while another added, "IM LAUGHING SO HARD." A fourth person joked: "Imagine seeing a security camera view of this." Another comment read, "I shouldn’t have laughed… but I did."

Why didn't Cormier just let go?

A few concerned users questioned why Olivia didn’t let go of the bar because she wasn’t that far off the ground, but others came in her defense. One person argued: "To all those saying 'just let go' it’s not that easy." While another TikTok user said: "I would’ve attempted a Spider Man landing and probably would’ve failed horribly." It appears that no matter how far the ground was, Cormier would have hurt herself if she had let go.

Another TikToker stuck upside down

Getting hurt in a gym appears to be a frequent situation as not too long ago, another gym bunny got stuck upside down in her exercise equipment. The fitness fiasco did not just stop there as the TikToker had to call the police for rescue. Christine Faulds was using the inversion table, which allegedly eases people’s back pain by turning them upside-down. The incident occurred at 3 am at the 24-hour Powerhouse Gym in Berea. The TikToker could be heard saying, “This is so embarrassing” while speaking to the dispatcher on her 911 call, as per the New York Post.
