Nylah Burton: Journo slammed for saying Queen should have died instead of Betty White
Nylah Burton, a Chicago-based journalist, deleted her Twitter account Friday, December 31, after suggesting that Queen Elizabeth should have died instead of Betty White.
The writer for Bustle who works as a 'sexual assault prevention specialist,' reacted with shock after the television legend's death but her bizarre spin on it left many shocked. "BETTY WHITE IS DEAD!?! Why couldn't it have been Queen Elizabeth?'" Burton tweeted from the now-deleted account. Even before the backlash against her original post had gained ground, Burton chose to go at it again in a second tweet Friday evening. "Why not Queen Elizabeth?? The universe took the wrong old white lady smdh," Burton remarked.

'Nylah Burton should be fired'
"Nylah Burton, the woman who tweeted about The Queen, is also the same woman who writes about #meghanmarkle and against the royal family. Not surprised that she's a SussexSquad," one of them said, while another commented, "Now we know both Nylah Burton and Meghan are vile. One of them wants the queen dead, and it's not the lying wife. #nylahburton." A third noted, "You can only assume she will be fired by everybody @voguemagazine @vogueindia @byshondaland @jessregel." The next remarked, "Nylah Burton should be fired. Many anti-Sussex cultists have been canceled for a lot less. What kind of precedent does it set if she is allowed to say such things and get away with it? Meghan Markle breeds the worst behavior in her cult." One more quipped, "What was deleted quicker? Nylah Burton's Career or Nylah Burton's Career ending tweet." "Sussex squad are #Vile #NylahBurton employers @voguemagazine @VOGUEIndia need to decide whether they condone her hate towards royal family and gross disrespect to the Queen," another noted.
"Wow Nylah Burton !!! How to totally f_ck up your career in one tweet!!!!" a commenter tweeted. One more stated, "@voguemagazine@CondeNast @Edward_Enninful Nylah Burton is a disgrace. Her Majesty the Queen deserves better. Disgusting & despicable Low grade human. Classless. #firenylahburton FIRE NYLAH BURTON." A person reacted with, "Freelance 'Journalist' Nylah Burton, a person with a history of deep racism against white people, of course she has written for @Bustle @nytimes @HuffPost @BusinessInsider and @YahooNews Will these outlets pledge to NEVER employ this vile person again?" One more noted, "Whoever Nylah Burton is, she’s starting 2022 by ending her career." Another added, "Evil witch should be fired!" One of them pointed out, "Nylah Burton is a bigoted socialist." A commenter posted, "@voguemagazine, either you endorse or not the views of your reporter, #NylahBurton, and if you dont, just fire that embarrassment for once and for all, you cannot justify this hate speech aimed at an elderly woman, let alone the Queen of England and head of the Commonwealth."
