Spoilers for 'NOS4A2' Season 2

In the Season 2 premiere of 'NOS4A2' titled 'Bad Mother', we saw Vic McQueen (Ashleigh Cummings) reeling from the possible fact that her nemesis, immortal Charlie Manx (Zachary Quinto) is alive. While the end of the episode saw Manx's heart beating as his body lay on an autopsy table with his organs exposed, it also saw three other things — the lights in Christmasland are back on, Vic is on her way to the lake through her Inscape that is a bridge called The Shorter Way, and Manx' Knife, the 1938 Rolls-Royce Wraith, is now running. Inscapes are imaginary worlds dreamt up by Strong Creatives like Vic and can be brought into the real world with objects called Knives. Vic's Motorbike is her Knife and Christmasland is Manx' Inscape.

The Season 2 trailer had one premise. It's been eight years since the events of Season 1, Manx is now alive and he is out to get his next victim Wayne McQueen (Jason David), Vic's son. Manx feeds off the soul of children before putting what remains of them in Christmasland and was thought to be dead at the end of last season. The Season 2 premiere sees his dead heart start beating again, bringing alive his battle narrative with Vic. We also saw Maggie Leigh (Jahkara Smith), another Strong Creative, ask her titles if the Wraith was dead. To which it replied "yes" because at that time it was — Maggie's Scrabble Bag filled with scrabble tiles is her Knife. The Wraith, Manx' Inscape, is brought back to life at the end of the episode, thanks to Bing Partridge (Ólafur Darri Ólafsson).

In the second episode, we would expect, for one, to definitely see Manx bring brought back to life completely. We are also expecting Bing to get a call from Manx or Millie since he had helped Manx by bringing the Wraith back to life, which not only resulted in all the lights turning on in Christmasland but also made Manx's heart beat. With Vic gone, leaving her man Lou Carmody (Jonathan Langdon) and Wayne behind, we would suspect that Wayne's life is now threatened.

Season 2 had also promised us more information on Christmasland and how it works. In the premiere episode we saw that Millie was able to hear children in the real world referring to her father as a killer. She had then pushed one of the kids from Christmasland into what looked like a fragment between the real world and the "world of thought". The boy did end up coming out into the real world and scaring the children before disappearing into the smoke. With Millie extremely devoted to her father, we expect to see them reunite and we are sure Manx will start targeting Wayne as soon as he can. We expect Episode 2, titled 'Good Father,' to bring in the Wayne-Manx narrative soon because Episode 1 didn't hint at that, but rather focused on Vic trying to figure out if Manx was alive or not. While we saw his heart beating at the end of the episode, Vic has no idea that this is what happened. It could also be that Manx wanted Vic away from her son, so he could get to him. It will be an interesting episode to say the least, considering there are so many loose end narratives to follow — the most important being the Wayne narrative. How will Manx make his presence known to Wayne, and when will Vic find out?

The official synopsis reads: "Charlie Manx fights for his life; Millie Manx determines to never let the lights go out in Christmasland again; Bing receives a long-awaited call; Wayne McQueen, attempting to understand his mother, walks headlong into danger."

'NOS4A2' Season 2 episodes air Sundays at 10 pm ET on AMC.
