Normani Kordei took to Instagram and Twitter to announce her new single ‘Fair’ that's set to release on Friday, March 18. The former Fifth Harmony singer turned on the heat with a black-and-white photo of her posing naked on a couch that she posted along with the announcement. Kordei wrote, "This song really captures me in one of my most vulnerable moments." But social media users couldn’t help but point out the uncanny resemblance to Toni Braxton and Janet Jackson's similar photo shoots from the 2000s.

Many likened ‘The X Factor’ star's Monday, March 14, post to Janet's 'All for You' album cover art. "Sharing this record makes me uncomfortable because you have never really seen me in this light. Definitely aware that you might feel like you don't know much about me but that's only because it's what makes me feel protected," she said, adding that she is "really forcing [herself] to let go here."

Normani went on to share, "This is huge for [her] and hopefully this piece of art resonates. Love is beautiful yet so soooo terrifying [black heart emoji] i adore you guys to the moon and back. ohhhh and believe me the uptempo s**t is coming lmaooo."

In a separate Instagram post, the 25-year-old musician shared a monochrome picture of herself posing sharply in a black tank top and captioned the image, "FAIRRRRRRRRR is coming in FOUR DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!" along with crying, pleading face and black heart emoticons. The post was popularly compared with singer and songwriter Toni Braxton’s 'I Don't Want To' single cover.

On social media, fans couldn't help but point out that Normani had clearly channeled 90's energy of Toni and Janet for her single's cover art. One Instagram user wrote, "Very Toni Braxton Of You!". On Twitter one fan wrote, "The cover >>> gives throwback for sure". "Sooooo 90's," another one chimed, along with several heart eye emojis.
