NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Nick Cannon has revealed that he is currently receiving treatment for pneumonia at a hospital. Cannon, 42, posted a series of pictures online, captioning them with descriptions of his illness, showing himself laying in a hospital bed.

"Okay, so I guess I'm not Superman... I promised myself I would never be back at this place again," Cannon wrote in the caption of his Instagram post. "But this is a great lesson to take care of YOU or YOU won't be able to take care of everyone else." Cannon added, "Don't trip though, I don't need any well wishes or prayers, just some solid rest and I will be back on the journey to becoming stronger than ever. It's just pneumonia, nothing I can't handle." He further said, "Crazy thing is, last night we was just rocking a sold out crowd at Madison Square Garden in front of thousands of fans. Now I'm all alone in a tiny hospital room. Life is definitely a rollercoaster!"

Nick concluded his caption with the hashtag '#LupusWarrior' as he has long been vocal about his health problems. On 'The Nick Cannon Show' in January, he disclosed his diagnosis ten years later as he said, "Ten years ago, I experienced a sudden and mysterious illness that almost took my life."

Cannon continued, "At the time, I had no idea it was lupus. And, you know me, I always have to have a camera on. So I would literally open up my phone, grab my camera and I would talk to the camera, and I documented the entire health journey."

'Pneumonia isn't a common cold so stop playing'

Meanwhile, fans swarmed to Cannon's Instagram post to wish him well despite his claim that there was no need for any. One fan commented, "Talking bout you don’t need no prayers or we’ll wishes .. why would we not flood your comments with them! We love you! Hope that you feel better asap Nick."

Another concerned fan wrote, "Pneumonia isn't a common cold so stop playing... you need well wishes and prayers! Prayers up for a speedy and full recovery.πŸ™πŸΌ" A third supporter who has been lupus-diagnosed commented, "You got to slow down Nick, I know you got this. Us Lupus Warriors we're fighters πŸ™πŸΎπŸ’œ."
